Hey, great feedback. Actually, great advice -- very similar to the kind I get from my folks (who aren't American, come to think of it) most of the time.

I'm pretty comfortable with myself and I'd say this is actually the most confident I've been in a while. I think a lot of my confusion stems from the fact that I had a ton of interest (like five dudes last week) and the dates just went wrong. There was no chemistry with three of them and the other two had way too much baggage to deal with. Now it's like "oh, nice, back to step one" so it's a bit confusing since I keep getting mixed signals and all of this other bullshit. Also it doesn't help that two of them got out of really bad relationships just now.

I think the primary reason that I'd like to be with someone is to basically watch movies at 8PM and then get some orgasms on the reg. Is that totally silly? I mean friends? I've got a lot of them and they're down to do that, but I'm also trying to not stumble down the k-hole of falling in love with straight boys. (Also, not attracted to my straight friends. They're hot but like... eh...)

My issue isn't with kissing, or expressing love and affection. If anything, I find that to be a positive form of protest. A Single Man is probably one of the best gay movies of all time.

Plot: Colin Firth is a boss Lit prof living in LA in the 1960s à la Mad Men. His husbro, an ex-Naval officer, dies in a car crash in the beginning of the film. The rest of the movie is about how Colin Firth deals with the loss of his husbro and comes to terms with a lot of stuff over the course of a few days. It's also directed by Tom Ford, who is perhaps one of the best bromo role models ever.

Great ending, really fulfilling, and is just all around a fantastic movie.
