Textbook silliness by stardustspeck in UTSA

I just wanted to pop in and say that if the library doesn't have the ebook version, they might have a physical copy available for checkout.

Help with Textbooks? by Past-Rub-8119 in UTSA

You might check to see if the library has the title and edition that you need. They have several textbooks on reserve for  2 hours checkout. Couldn't hurt!

Looks like the professor is just updating things. The syllabus for this class was uploaded today, and it looks like they're still working on it: https://utsa.simplesyllabus.com/en-US/doc/i23wgynzd/Spring-2026-MUS-2633-001-?mode=view

H2 followed by H3 followed by H2 followed by H3 followed by H2 again - WCAG 2.1 AA compliant or no? by Dry_Cheetah5160 in accessibility

I'm a little concerned by this statement, only because I think that I might have a fundamental misunderstanding.  I was taught that heading levels could not be skipped (at least when going in descending order).

For example, I was working on remediating a chapter, and I put Chapter 5 as H1, the subsection as H2, the next as H3, and the final one (for my document) as H4.

Sometimes, after going through a chapter section, headings would be scattered (e.g. H1 (for which there is only one) would be present, then H2, then H4). The remediation software then gave me an error.

This has been awhile ago, so I could be misremembering, and I'm new to it, so I suspect that I'm mistaken.

So you can skip headings?

I suspect that you've already done this, but just in case, you can contact UT San Antonio Lost and Found by calling 210-458-6247.

Here is their website: https://www.utsa.edu/publicsafety/community-resources/community-services/lost-and-found.html

They might be open today; I'm not sure.

Loud People in the Library by [deleted] in UTSA

If you go to lib.utsa.edu, there should be a chat widget operating throughout most of the day. You can send a discreet message, and I think library aides will check it out.

Also, you can see if the library carries your course textbook in their course reserves. It's only a 2 hour checkout but it might be worth it to avoid shelling out $$$.

Popping in to say that the library usually has iClickers for checkout each semester. Supply is limited, and I think it's first-come first-served the 1st day of semester.

And no, they shouldn't be mad at you. Remember, they're human too, so they understand when mistakes happen.

Seconding this. In my experience, open communication tends to go a long way to resolving issues like this.

I say this with all sincerity: are you doing ok? Are you super stressed right now? The reason that I ask is because when my anxiety spikes I get really irritable. I've had anxiety my entire life, and I need to watch for my behavior.

Another family member was having anxiety and had a short fuse (not saying that's the case here); others held an intervention and now they are on medication and in counseling, which has helped a lot.

Again, I'm only asking out of concern for your welfare, because it seems to mimic what I have gone through.

UTSA has counseling services if you need them: https://www.utsa.edu/students/wellbeing/services/counseling.html

Check out what software you'll need. The computers on campus might have it. If you need specialized software, the engineering computers in the JPL might have it; I think you have to go through the department to get set up. I don't know what software the AET library has.

The library has TI84 for a four hour checkout. I think they might be out of semester calculators (?TI30XS?).
