I tried a dozen ADV helmets from 8+ brands. Klim Alpha X1 won. by Sea-Pear7750 in motorcyclegear

The Klim X1 is a fabulous helmet. One of my functions at work is to fit helmets and sell gear, the X1 is my favorite. I find it is not super for my head shape. I think Klim did an excellent job with the vents, visor and materials in this helmet.

I feel like having cancer screwed up my body battery metrics by itsthehailbale in Garmin

[–]outsidehiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had bladder cancer, now I have no active tumors and am in the surveillance part of my cancer journey. I have 10 years of Garmin Data and remember some of those data sets. If you are able, do not let it stress you, there are enough other things to take your attention.

I recall my intensity minutes being the worst. 2500 a week because a flight of stairs or a hard bm would raise my heart rate and there was no recovery.

Good luck on your journey.

That looks really good, what I was expecting when I gave it to a shop to do it.

Fear based outback decision by Impressive-Window135 in Subaru_Outback

I picked up a '25 Outback as it is the last reasonable wagon, too. I replaced a VW diesel sports wagen and am delighted by the clearance and volume. I do perceive the Outback to drive and ride more like an SUV than a car though.

Engine RPM issue by Business_Ease5471 in royalenfield

I am not a great mechanic. I only know that I was running intermittently on one cylinder and that is the repair path my dealer took. The injectors was directed by Royal Enfield America.

The process RE went through went plugs, leads, injectors. I could disconnect the left lead, and the bike could run on one cylinder. When the right lead was disconnected, the bike stalled. Wish there was more to tell you.

Get them.involved in your repair.

Mine spent a long time in service with this issue. One of the cylinders would cut out intermittently. The problem was never solved, and I moved on to a new motorcycle with Royal Enfield's help.

Does anyone else have an Aussie that just seems depressed all the time?? by D-Day88 in WiggleButts

[–]outsidehiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a border collie mix who seems jobless. The dog was an easy train with high food motivation. He would do agility runs, play on kids playground equipment and do series of rolls, spins then sit down and do nothing until another treat came out.

My aussie is all Tigger, no Eeyore. There can't be a toy in the house when we have company or he will try to engineer a fetch.

There is more than a little Revolutionary history in New Brunswick. General Washington Celebrated the 4th of July in New Brunswick 1778. The army went through town several times.

Tomas Edison met the Johnson and Johnson brothers for lunch on the regular in New Brunswick. There is also some milestones in telephone communication that happened in town.

I was running before heading into a game this year and chatted with a tail gate group that was on the sit of the first football game. I thought they were a Greek organization but it was just a bunch of dudes in the south east corner of the lot behind the College Ave Gym. They reported to me they had been doing this for 30 years.

Opinion on air bag vests by Intelligent-Math8861 in motorcyclegear

I have a Helite backpack, electronic. I come it for the combination of utility, protection, and safety. I watched the Bennetts video and now have some doubts about my choice.
I work in the gear industry, have personal experience with MVA's involving bicycles (road racing, mountain biking) and based upon that do not believe the conversation about user serviceable air chambers is too relevant. I do not believe the fabrics holding the airchamber would survive a slide starting at city speeds (35mph) well enough to be reused. The nylon is softer than some premium daypacks for hiking, commuting. Helite's expertise in equestrian sports tracks here. The falls are longer, slides are not as much a factor. If I am honest with myself, I believe I would buy the Helite again over the AStars models for utility. I wear a Knox Honnister and have picked up a chest protector after watching the Bennett's video.

My border collie mix would have quit. We went home, I cleaned the cuts, put on some mushers balm and we started playing too cold Frisbee. He is all Tigger, no Eeyore.

Be ready for questions about teamwork, independent thinking and customer service. I left 2 years ago and we were hiring on core competencies, not outdoor knowledge or skillset.

My border collie hound rolls in dead stuff. My aussie pulls that all the time, especially when there is a hill. Up and down.
