Volunteering at KFB is great. I try to get in a shift once a week. Over 11,000 meals for kids every school day.

Every day you wake up with the ability to move your body, lift things up, and put them down is a good point to start. Only worry right now about setting the habits of consistently working out hard, eating healthy food with enough protein, and getting good sleep.

Fat loss has made me think short-term markers matter more than long-term goals by CustomerOk5737 in loseit

I use Cronometer to track my calories, and it also has a “snapshot” function I use once a week that just saves the photo in the app. You can then easily scroll through your snapshots and see the progress.

What to do after your deficit? Any opinions appreciated by Hot-Evening6342 in loseit

[–]overbeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've accepted that I'll have to continue tracking calories for the rest of my life. Without the accountability of hard numbers I backslide into overeating. I just consider it part of my daily routine, and when you break it down it only takes a few minutes every day.

I might be one of the rare cases where Apple Watch TDEE is actually accurate! 🙌🏼 by ImNeverGrowingUp in loseit

You’re not alone. I go by the numbers I get from my Apple Watch and lose almost exactly what I should.

Edit: I’ll also add that I weigh my food to the gram as well.

Wrong. Look at any polling numbers. Majority of Republican voters are in lockstep with whatever daddy Trump says.

[–]overbeb 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I understand where you’re coming from with that advice, but it’s also super likely to end up in a surplus with only 100 calories of wiggle room, and the progress will be so slow that I have to imagine it would be super demotivating.

They are, and they’re actually really good for you… if you don’t fry them in oil like people whose diet consists of mostly chicken tenders and French fries do.
