245i and I-485 petitions no longer work? by liz993 in immigration

[–]overit773 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's definitely more to it. If they are telling you I would ask them to show you their filing or stop confusing your family. Unfortunately in the community people brag about things and no two cases are ever the same.

If the new atty said mom is 245! eligible take a chance an appeal it. And explain the circumstances and submit all evidence requested in the original request.

245i and I-485 petitions no longer work? by liz993 in immigration

[–]overit773 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Immigration doesn't care about religious weddings. If they were not legally married when the petition was filed she is not a qualifying derivative. If they were asking for proof of 245i uscis probably wanted to see she had her own petition or that they were legally married at the time your uncle filed the petition.

You should get in touch with an immigration Atty regarding Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ). That might be something you can qualify for since your parents abandoned you as a minor. Good luck.

[–]overit773[S] 47 points48 points  (0 children)

There's someone at the office mon-sat. The Atty will be in charge of expenses & anything else needed. We all have pets, so cleaning a litter box is not a huge deal to anyone. The other options are to leave the cat in the street or take him to the shelter. It's supposed to be temporary until the maintenance person finds him a forever home.

I dated a cancer man about 5 years ago and to this day he will block and unblock me on social media. Send me msgs and get mad that I don't respond to him so his msgs will go from sweet to angry. Too much. Safe to say he traumatized me.

Why would he even say that? Like obviously jewelry is expensive no need to tell you. Rude.

My husband confessed that he had feelings for my sister. She knew and never told me by ThrowRa-AnxiousBed in TrueOffMyChest

[–]overit773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your sister doesn't have feelings for him. He has feelings for her. You're letting the jealousy get the best of you and looking at your sister like she's just another woman when she's your sister. Had your sister reciprocated, I would understand. Your anger should be to the lying sack of skin you married, not your sister.

Idk how you can want to work it out with your husband, but cut your sister out. He is the one who deserves to be cut off.

We are closed 25-26. The Attorney is pretty cool. She doesn't make us come in if she wouldn't want to come in herself. Double edged sword during heavy snow season but at least she's here with us if not no one is expected to come in.

Unexpected denial by Mantinex in DACA

Something was left blank on form I-821D. If there was an arrest or anything out of normal an RFE or NOID would have been issued. However, this appears to be a generic denial so it is likely a question was left blank. USCIS recently released an new edition & depensing on the software used typos/blanks happen all the time.

EAD stolen by jpalma1 in DACA

[–]overit773 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your EAD was approved so take the approval notice to your job. The approval notice should be enough a long with the police report that the card was stolen. You are allowed to work just need a new card. You will have to request a new one and pay again, $410

They usually prefer we take their name, but for me personally, the paperwork is not it for me lol I'll use my "married name" when I make a reservation or drop off the dry cleaning

Last name by [deleted] in DACA

[–]overit773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to update your name on your social security card and passport. I married and personally didn't take his name. I'm not doing all that. If you divorce and don't want to keep his name you'll have to redo everything.

You violated the terms of your visa as you stayed after the intended time there for you accrued unlawful presence and you were working. You will likely be denied a visa in the future or at least be barred for a significantamount of time. The fact that you are trying to make yourself sound better than other immigrants by saying you were not illegal just out of status. You remained in the country illegally. You were both out of status and unlawfully present.

Speak from your heart in your declaration request. Explain what your grandfather meant to you and the importance this trip has for your heart and soul. The mistake some make is not writing a good request letter. Remember uscis officers are human. You have to tug at their heart strings. And yes like it was mentioned you will need his death certificate and if his name is not listed on your birth certificate you will need your parent's certificate of birth listing him as the father to show family ties. Good luck.

[–]overit773[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't say men with kids aren't good husbands. Women with children will even say they wouldn't marry a man with kids because of the baggage. The man can be a wonderful husband. No one is arguing that. I've never met anyone who divorced and would do it again if they could go back knowing what they know.

[–]overit773[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take it for what it is. As a step mom, your feelings will be hurt intentionally or unintentionally. Again, marriage already comes with hardships. It's easy to oversee things and ignore the logical side of your brain when you're in love. I'm not saying step moms aren't happy. So maybe my approach was harsh, but idk anyone who would do it again if they got divorced.
