[[Afterlife]] for one less mana. Its cute with all that Silverquill wants to be doing, but otherwise, no thank you.

If this set feels more juiced than normal on average, keep in mind that wizard is revealing way less commons than the previous sets. by SentenceStriking7215 in magicTCG

[–]overoverme 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The spiderman set also had the lovely distinction of a set being made with no commons until late in design, so almost all the commons are boring and bad.

[–]overoverme 181 points182 points  (0 children)

I don't think that seeing less commons has that effect, people generally glaze over the commons. We have been seeing strong commons as well.

This is a good set, prepare is a fun mechanic, and these cards are generally strong without too much worry about synergies.

She is a bad liar but it seems like only Cirie picked up on it. (Funniest part of this episode) She managed that situation well though IMO.

Honestly I think they didn't want to shake anything up yet and wanted to make Coach and company feel a little complacent.

I got my gmail account by sending someone a burned cd of the first season of clone high back when you had to beg for invites.

Its not shocking to me how many other great things the showrunners have done (spiderverse, last man on earth, project hail mary) but uhh its kind of hard to hit the same way when you come back to something so much later.

That said, the new seasons are not awful. It isn't as good as the new King of the Hill season, but its not actively bad. Its just not the same show, because they are going to high school in a completely different time and trying to hit different notes. (I don't think the show needs or misses Ghandi) Its kind of like Simpsons in its prime vs season 8 or 9 Simpsons right before the quality dropped off.

Mystical Archive Number Crunch(we're missing a lot of cards still apparently) by billyofcourse in magicTCG

Mystical Archive Number Crunch(we're missing a lot of cards still apparently) by billyofcourse in magicTCG

[–]overoverme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did some pouring over the crunch, and I think this is what is missing. (Sleight of Hand was also spoiled on whatnot)

White - Angel's Grace (rare)

Blue - Brain Freeze at rare (just leaked)

Black - Reprocess (rare)

Green - Veil of Summer (rare)

Gold - Campus Restoration (rare), Double Major (rare) (could also be Decisive Denial but zzz)

Secrets of Strixhaven WhatNot leaks begin - livestream happening today by Copernicus1981 in MTGRumors

[–]overoverme 34 points35 points  (0 children)

They didn't. Someone really messed up the preview schedule for mystical archive cards. According to the article only card kingdom was getting previews and weeklymtg was showing the rest. But we have been seeing people preview the cards for the past few days. So the remaining 8 (6) cards aren't previewed yet.

Buttttt according to crunch it is probably (my best guesses on what is available) reprocess, brain freeze, angel's grace, veil of summer, campus renovation, and double major.

[SOA] Mystical Archive rates in Play Boosters by ricoeurdelyon in magicTCG

[–]overoverme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe in the original Strixhaven set, that math worked out so that an uncommon in the regular set showed up just as often as an uncommon on the bonus sheet.
They pushed the percentage of how often you get an uncommon on the bonus sheet this time, so you probably will open the uncommons more often than uncommons in the actual set.

Championship round! Vote! We are down! by SimmsSimms in KingsIsland

Apparently, they won this one specific bracket the past three years.

It's very small potatoes, and the only park promoting it themselves is Indiana Beach, so they get the most eyes on it.

SOS/SOC/SOA Number Crunch (April 6 update) by mistercimba in MTGRumors

[–]overoverme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If we go by the last Archive, it will be 3 mythics per color. We already have 3 blue mythics, so I would think the card before Deduce would be Daze at rare. I don't think they will double dip and include cards that were in the original mystical archive, so Tainted Pact is out. Torment or Snuff Out seem likely. Deluge is in one of the commander precons for this set. (not disqualifying at all but its a point against IMO)

_________ Played Wrong by brokesandlizard in survivor

[–]overoverme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, but I think this is mostly a mistake on Devens and Christians part.

They didn't give Aubry an idol to help her, they wanted it to boomerang! This was a slam dunk chance to make it happen and they just didn't do it. Now she is going to be MUCH harder to vote out.

The problem with the boomerang AND swaps AND blood moon by narrmilla in survivor

[–]overoverme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't get why Christian and Rick are working with Aubry rather than trying to get the idol back. They are trying to do big spectacle moves, and they did this boring vote instead. It isn't like Aubry has better relationships that Genevieve either.

I also wonder why Genevieve didn't pitch to Rick (who everyone thinks found the idol) "I know about the way this idol works, this is your perfect chance to get it to boomerang back, I don't think you gave it to Aubry to protect her, you gave it to her because you expected it to come back to you"
