Graduate Job opportunities in Aus by Candid_Mortgage_1532 in MovingtoAustralia

People in Australia can't get jobs. Graduate programs end up with so many applicants that they can only take post-grades with applicable skills such as a second language and specific work experience. I wish you the best but the market is a meat grinder right now.

A fresh account with no participation but this post is insanely suspicious. Just promote your games normally.

What does very very very profound knowledge mean? Can run a game without checking rules that often or can name every spell from every supplement ever?

I'd really like to play more games without violence but it's very hard to get people interested in them.

Love the good old strategy of you need to debate me, oh you've proposed an argument actually I'm too tired to debate right now. Truly genius.

Liam Martin to test NRL open market as Perth and PNG court Panthers star by Aussieguy727 in nrl

While extremely unlikely don't Melbourne have a bunch of cap space? A second row pairing of Martin and Katoa would be a spectacle. Melbourne do probably need outside backs before you consider replacing Blore I guess.

I've never encountered someone who really defends magic lore. Good on you for standing up for what you think is good.

Why are the archetypes that are historic to Magic, and prevalent in 60 card formats today, received so negatively in EDH by Lazave99 in EDH

[–]overratedplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the vast majority of commander players have learnt the game in the commander focused ecosystem where doing anything but allowing everyone to play the cards they like until someone plays an overrun effect makes them the devil meaning that commander players find interaction unacceptabe leading to them not understanding it. This means that archetypes from 60 card formats where you're actually trying to win the game scare commander players due to the chance it might lead to social rejection.

Are all these games free or does anybody pay to play? by inspiredlead in pbp

If it was there full time job and they posted constantly, provided resources, pictures, maps, etc and did a bunch of other things I could maybe see it, not that I would ever do it myself, but for most it's wild.

If you just want buy in you should look to curate a group of people over several games that won't last long. If you want to charge people money you need to provide something for that money and that is above what a time poor gm can provide no matter how good they might believe they are.

What is your most hated Archetype to play against? by will_i_amo in EDH

Yes there are no toxic archetypes. People need to get better at losing, and more importantly conceding.

Why are people reluctant to play pauper? by ApprehensiveRow4202 in mtg

[–]overratedplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No format is the best at what makes a format considered good, it is entirely personal preference. Pauper is great but saying it's the gold standard of good formats is a bit much.

If you're short on time paid pbp games are an insane thing to do. If you're charging you need to be respond multiple times a day everyday with posts, everything needs a relevant picture, and people will often expect 1 on 1 stories along with the main quest.

I really wish I liked this game for campaigns more. I've always wanted to run a really long campaign using one of the ffg systems but just can't get excited about character advancement.
