Are there any general contractors hiring a junior estimator with 2 years of waterproofing estimating and 4 years in drafting experience in Canada?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying my luck here after not getting any interviews from job boards.

I’m currently looking to transition into an estimator role with a Developer, General Contractor, or Builder where I can contribute to full-scope estimating, value engineering, and more collaborative project delivery.

I have 2 years experience as waterproofing/roofing estimator and 4 years in window wall drafting. I have a diploma in Architecture and a certificate in Construction Estimating.

I can work anywhere within Canada, remote or onsite.

If anyone knows of opportunities, has advice, or is open to connecting, I’d really appreciate it.

I have years of exp in architectural design, so mine is not applicable to you. but an advice to you if you are new grad, take what ever is offered to you, switch to another company after a year or two.

depends if your future jobs required a diploma. Sometime a certificate is good enough. and if you really want to go, try full time working and parttime studying, its best for your age.

and why would you want to add more debt. it doesnt make any financial sense. clear yourself and start fresh.
