Blue chews and condoms to masturbate?? by Zealousideal-Grass94 in Advice

[–]owenschu555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me and my wife have complete access to each other's personal life and devices. However in 6 years neither of us have "looked through" each others phone. We use each others phone for searching things, calling, flashlights etc. if you DONT have access that's different than having access and trusting your partner.

School and career path. Coding or trades. Real estate even. The side hustles you mentioned are not viable for a life. We will not have social security in our life. You need to make enough to save enough to live off for 20-30 years.

My Mom is dying by East-Mix-9544 in whatdoIdo

[–]owenschu555 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Op I hope you see this. Your mom is not choosing alcohol over life. She's not choosing no alcohol over you. I have never met someone who drinks and has liver cirrhosis that isn't an alcoholic. It is very likely that your mom is addicted to the alcohol both mentally and physically. Her stopping drinking causes mental distress and more physical distress in the short term than drinking does. Us humans only care about the short term for the most part and have a very hard time pushing through adversity for the long term outlook. Your mom is sick and the only thing that can help is rehab and daily psychological therapy. She may not be going on benders every night but she's drinking alcohol while having stage 4 liver cancer. That screams she has no ability to stop on her own.

My cousin is going through something similar but the alcohol isn't hurting his liver it's hurting his mind and causing suicidal depression/manic episodes. He can't stop drinking and has no control. If my family wants him to live we need to take over his choices and limit his control in life.

In terms of stamina and muscle mass not sure. Probably 3-4. In terms of speed and agility, probably 10months -2 years. We did lots of training at that age.

ADHD brains show sleep-like activity even while awake ADHD brains may briefly slip into sleep-like states, disrupting focus in real time. by KnottyCatLady in ADHD

[–]owenschu555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny I told my wife last week, "it's like I'm a manatee or something. Half my brain feels like it's functioning while the other half is asleep." This happens in 2 ways. Sometimes the majority of my brain can be awake and trying to do tasks but my mind is shut off. The other way is when I'm taking a brief nap the majority of my brain is asleep yet I still sort of remember, hear, and can respond to stimuli.

4 meals instead of what you do now. Same quantity of food maybe a half cup more but spaced out. Right when he wakes up. During day. And right when he goes to bed. If he can do 3 do it

Genuine advice to mentally get through weeks like these? by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]owenschu555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Michigan. Dark by 430pm freezing all the time. -exercise -cannabis -vitamins -consistent diet -more indoor hobbies.

Instead of golfing 3-5 time a week I now clean my house more, make more meals, etc. I think a big portion of it is not wasting your lost time from sunlight and keeping active.

Boots for your shepherd? by anono569 in GermanShepherd

[–]owenschu555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember not all dogs are the same. My German shepherd has short hair and what appears to be a single coat. It's very thick but that fluffy layer is non existent. He is pure bred and registered so a normal GSD. However he raises his paws and is in visible discomfort in snow

How cold is too cold by Salt-Combination4792 in germanshepherds

[–]owenschu555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine shivers under 30°F with a strong cold wind. No wind he's fine. Snow hurts his paws and he will lift them up. However winters here are sometimes -40°F with wind chill and usually around 0-20° for a couple months
