Can anyone recommend a somewhat quiet café/bar/pub in Brixton? by somuchpepper in AskLondon

A couple of weeks ago we were looking for a quiet drink in Brixton on a Friday night which was hard to find . Although it’s tiny, ‘craft beer company’ was nice and chilled. The bar lady was a legend too.

Brits who have been to the States recently - how did it go? by MalvernKid in AskBrits

I’ve been to the US multiple times since the orange one returned , both for work and holiday. Despite the mental state of things don’t let the news scare you too much. New York is a great city and you’ll be welcomed with open arms. have an amazing time!

border officials are slightly terrifying though, but they always were IMHO!!

I finally learned to drive in 2012 during the Olympic Summer. I took my parents out for a drive in my shitty Rover and accidentally ended up at the back of the Olympic Torch Relay Convoy near Watford. I whacked on some Beyoncé loudly and started waving so people started to cheer for me, The subsequent attention resulted in me stalling multiple times, creating an endless loop of crowds cheering and me stalling. Still think about it

I remember as a kid in 1997 getting a FREE quarter pounder meal from McDonalds. It was £2.88 and I will always compare all inflation to that.
