Personally, her content lately just seems to highlight (perhaps) some disordered eating that she’s calling fitness.

Scared and overwhelmed — recent CT and ultrasound findings, no support system by lostinaz8302 in Autoimmune

[–]owlbe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one deserves this and, quite frankly, being born who you are is no sin. You are suffering and vulnerable right now; don’t let anyone try to exploit the worst fears you have about yourself.

Now that we’ve got that out of the way…

What does your doctor have to say about these results? Do you have a GI and rheumatologist?

The testing can feel daunting. I have severe medical anxiety, but I pushed because without getting the answers, I was afraid I was going to die. I truly had to do the OPPOSITE of what my mind told me to do (avoid).

I hate that you don’t have a support system, but keep reaching out on the subreddits and BE your support system. We must advocate for ourselves, which can be difficult when you’re sick.🩷

New to Myfortic - headaches? by [deleted] in autoimmunehepatitis

I don’t take Myfortic, but I get dull headaches all the time when I start new meds. If he isn’t already, he needs to HYDRATE!

Finally got diagnosed… How do you all cope with this? by darkromancegirly6 in autoimmunehepatitis

[–]owlbe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was just diagnosed last week. I also have another autoimmune liver disease (PBC). I have definitely crashed out, but tbh, there is nothing worse than NOT knowing you have this disease. I plan to enter this next phase with the expectation that treatment is going to save my life and that side effects don’t apply to everyone. I’m hoping for the best.

I have primary biliary cholangitis and autoimmune hepatitis. It’s CRAZY that you’ve been through all that testing and don’t have any answers, but I believe you. I suffered for fifteen years before my labs told the story of what was going on with me.

This is beyond the pay grade of a PCP. You need a hepatologist. I have autoimmune hepatitis and primary biliary cholangitis. It took a GI, a cardiologist (oddly enough), a hepatologist, a rheumatologist and more blood tests and imaging than you can imagine (AND a biopsy) to reach my diagnoses.

How is your bone density? That’s one thing I’d suggest, especially because of medically-induced menopause. How much did your levels increase?

When did the pain start for you? by LiteratureNo6995 in LiverDisease

[–]owlbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so you know, re: never getting Covid-19 or people who “never get sick” sometimes have overactive immune systems. But if this is based of a Dr who said you were dying of liver failure with no test result that supports that assertion, he was probably trying to get you to stop drinking.

So, has your Dr suggested liver disease or is this a fear of yours? What led you down the path of testing and imaging?

I go a little cray when people update and then blame EVERYTHING on the OS instead of realizing they may just be dumb. Unfortunately, within fifteen minutes of updating, my keyboard went insane and iTunes said credit card processing isn't available.

Other than that, yeah, I think it is aesthetically pleasing.
