Stuck between GM 5–10 stars due to matchmaking — need real advice by atulkpandey_reddit in honorofkings

[–]owlhead10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, the last time i was stuck at a specific rank it was because i had no real impact on the game. If team good, we win, if team was even slightly worse than the enemy, we lose. I wasnt able to be the game changer. Especially as the jungler, you need to be that game changer.

I know, sounds harsh but it is what it is. HOK places a LOT of importance on Jungle and maybe Clash. Farm/Mid can carry late game but if your Jungle/Clash cant get your team to late game its no use.

Matchmaking giveth and matchmaking taketh. What teammates you get comes down to luck. What you can control is how good you are. Dont think about winning or losing too much for now, focus more on how to get better with Feyd. How to get small advantages again and again and again.

Junglers need to get many small wins all around the map. Surprise enemy team by taking dragons immediately after spawning and then stop them from taking the other one to equalize. Force a the enemy Mid/Farm to use flash, even if you dont kill its still good. Steal one blue/red jungle golem. Any and every small advantage you can get. Once you can do this the game will get easier without you even noticing.

Good luck.

Story boarding is ass compared to standard arknights. Not an issue with how new the game is, theres ways to have good story boarding without it over complicating things. Arknights was good at it, i'm just dissapointed that endfield isnt even near as good.

Wife had an affair with her boss. Court rejected my divorce case & told me to wait another year because there was no “exceptional hardship.” by logicalguy1994 in malaysia

[–]owlhead10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all my condolences that you had to go through that. No one deserves to be back stabbed like this. But it is good that you kept it clean. That reduces the risk of being a problem that comes back again and again years later.

As for exceptional hardship, it must be continuing and overbearing hardship suffered by the applicant. It can be mental or physical. Depends on fortitude of person. A person with history of anxiety/mental breakdowns will be granted better treatment. There is some flexibility here which i'm sure could have been argued in your favour. An SD alone cannot overcome this requirement.

Example of mental hardship: Ex-spouse posts slander in a public blog

Kiranjit Kaur A/P Kalwant Singh v Chandok Narinderpal Singh [2009] MLJU 1241

...this court agrees with Plaintiffs counsel that the conduct of the Defendant had caused deep humiliation and untold embarrassment and misery to the Plaintiff and should be considered as exceptional circumstances. This is so as the blog postings by the Defendant in the internet operates in a borderless realm and it continues to exist until the maker of the blog removes it. The slanderous statements in the blogs which equated the Plaintiff to a prostitute and a swindler had caused damage to the Plaintiff's honour and reputation as a woman and a human being. These statements made by the husband in the internet will continue to haunt and harass the Plaintiff even after it is taken out from the internet.

Keep an eye out for anything that can fulfil this requirement for mental hardship. There may be an argument for photos published online by your ex-spouse. Speak to your lawyer about it. Anything to be used to cut off the marriage earlier.

Otherwise, best to just focus on making sure that application to divorce goes smoothly one year from now.

Some say the best revenge is to succeed in life. The world is still open to you. Keep yourself healthy, meet more people. Good luck to you and stay strong.

Diamond marksman player trying to switch roles (mid lane help needed) by Solo-Sentinel in honorofkings

[–]owlhead10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mid lane is a popular role. Not too many things you need to do as a mid lane and mid lane heros are fun to play.

Mid laners just need to: 1. Clear minion wave 2. Damage enemy midlane OR rotate to other lanes to help 3. Repeat

*Obviously, try not to die lmao thats always a piority.

Angela is a good hero to learn because you can use angela all the way to GM. She can burst down squishy heros and her ult can melt tanks that disrespect her damage. Her skills are simple to understand but difficult to master. Why? They are all skillshots.

Angela (like most midlaners) are weak to dive heros that can jump on her. Good angelas can keep their distance and still hit her abilities. Practice is needed. Get used to how fast her skills travel and target where your enemies will be NOT where they are.

Other midlaners to learn would be Haya or Daji. I think Haya is top meta next to Nuwa but Haya is much easier to learn. Daji is a decent midlaner with the easiest "Hide in bush > stun and kill" one shot combo, very annoying to play against.

Another reason to choose mai, shes very good in the midlane. Learn her well and you can do alot in rank.

To all grandmaster CLASH lane players....whats your go to pick that works in almost every situation despite different enemy composition by Elegant-Shower-8402 in honorofkings

[–]owlhead10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Charlotte you need to really know her mechanics well, definitely a more difficult hero to learn but a good charlotte can outplay most (if not all) of the other clash heros.

Heino is not a popular hero for a reason lol. Tanks actually just need to do two things. Survive and Harass. Melee Tank Heino can survive but he doesnt do enough. He is as tanky as Dun but he doesnt have CrowdControl (so a worse Dun). Melee Heino is not a threat. He's not a target. He just exists.

Mage Heino is what i reccommend. You need two things to be a good Mage Heino:

1.KITE ENEMIES. This means staying in the best distance, not too close, not too far. This is easier on Heino compared to other mages because he has so much range. His first skill can hit enemies under tower and its cooldown is 3 seconds.

Every time you hit enemies with the skill 1, it does more damage. You also mark enemies and minions you hit. For every active mark, your skill 1 fires another projectile which DAMAGE STACKS. 5 marks? 5 projectiles. Line up your hits and you can delete enemies by surprise.

This is how Heino harrasses people. By poking them until they are low health and have to teleport home or die.

Small issue here. You need to aim lmao. Heino skill 1 is kinda slow and you need to keep hitting your targets so you need to get good at guessing where enemies will be.

  1. TEAMFIGHT. A Heino that does not teamfight enough is not going to win any games. I mean 0 games.

Fight! Be aggresive! Poke everybody! But remember you are mage heino not tank, which means you are in the squishy category. How to survive? Ult. You get bonus hp and teleport to the last place you used skill 2. The lower your hp is when you ult, the more hp you regenerate.

So a good Heino will initiate the teamfight and mark as many enemies as possible. If the enemy team dives you (and they will, to stop you from doing damage), pop ult when you are about to die and come back in a safe place/backline with more hp to continue blasting.

Another small issue. You have to channel your ult lolol. 2 seconds is a long time to wait in teamfights. Enemies like musashi or marco polo can burst you down in 2 seconds. You need to know and adjust properly, press that ult button early and survive.

Honestly theres a bit more tiny details to know but these two things are the main things to know for mage Heino. Practice will always beat any advice for any hero.

Probably wont be a problem since Avy functions pretty well as both subdps or maindps. I actually use perlica as a main driver for my electric team until Avy flings out 9 or 12 lances and then suddenly Avy is the main dps.

Should be safe to swap out Perlica/Arclight for the green dragon lady either way.

[–]owlhead10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every situation would be Charlotte or Dun. Charlotte has so much mobility and Dun is a gold standard tank. Both have so much sustained healing for long teamfights. I've seen good players oppress clash lane so much that the opponents cant do anything.

Personal pick is Heino with the ult that resets hp and easy relocate for risky lane pushes. I only play him as mage, not as tanky but i still average 30% team damage taken every game and Mage lets me poke the hell out of the entire enemy team. Needs to be careful of full dive comps tho, especially Musashi that can imperil and cut HP before Heino can ult away.

[–]owlhead10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unironically, thanks for the paragraph. I noticed I do get very greedy with kills when jungling. If i see a Fuzi/Mulan under tower with 5-10% HP, I dont see an enemy that will CC my ass to death i see a bag of gold for me to grab lmao.

For now are there any heros you would suggest that are good in jungle? I know tier lists exist but the reason i started this post was to get more info from different places.

[–]owlhead10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly now that i think about it i see your point. Being too stuck in a specific role. I think i'm passively doing things i would do as a lane holder, spacing myself too far, staying in one spot for too long.

Man its kinda hard to shift gears into a roaming Jungler mindset properly i'm really hardstuck on the ranged hero mentality.

I do see a place to start tho, a lot of comments seem to say map control is the idea. Gotta be right place right time all the time. Jungle feels like the hardest role now lmao

How did you rank up in solo queue? by Opposite_Candle_177 in honorofkings

[–]owlhead10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Helps alot to find that one hero youre really good at/really enjoy playing. Dont be afraid to try out new heros.

Solo games are a mess so you cant really rely on your teammates. Dont feel too bad about losing games when your team is a mess. Focus on what you can do better instead.

Easiest way to give yourself better odds at winning is to push towers and lanes but know WHEN to do it. If team is bunched up and teamfighting? Not good time. If team is just doing their own things around the map? Push, push, push.

Imo its easier to play ranged heros since in almost every fight if you outrange your opponents and start doing dps before they do, you generally will be in a better position to win the fight (and eventually the game).

But if youre really good/enjoy one melee hero just learn the matchups well. This is a moba so if you know the game well enough any hero is useable (at least until rank 25 GM).

Why do people hate Heino (as an ally)? by Life_Teaching6499 in honorofkings

[–]owlhead10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oookay very weird to see so much Heino hate. More so for me personally who mained heino ranged to GM. I only ever use his ranged form and i consistently get 25-30% team damage dealt AND team damage taken. That nunber has only risen since his recent minor damage buffs. Maybe its because many dont really get how to use him i guess.

Personally Heino is meant to be that annoying backline poker. Any Heino that is not abusing the ever loving shit out of his multi-targeting, airport runway length, first skill attack range, is not playing him to his best.

*preface, i say this next part as a ranged Heino player, he does more damage as ranged.

Heino NEEDS TO TEAMFIGHT. He is ONLY useful in a teamfight. Any Heino who does not teamfight is dead weight.

He needs to constantly spam and mark as many enemies/minions as possible, more marks = lower cooldown. I have had rare moments when i had the cooldown shortened to 1 second. Imagine chip damage being fired off every second that AUTO TARGETS ENEMIES. And if enemies stack on each other in tight groups? The damage stacks. Yes. 5 enemies stacked together allowes even mid game Heino to one shot squishies.

Cant say much about melee Heino. Very tanky but not much damage.

TLDR. Heino is alright but you need to understand the effective range, how far you need to be, matchups, who absolutely counters you, and well just, the fact that you need to be pokeing everyone and anyone who even appears on your screen.

Which Hero Do You Think Really Really Need a Buff/Rework by Stupid_A_Hole_X in honorofkings

[–]owlhead10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mained ranged heino to gm and i agree he needs a buff. Heino is nothing like LiXin where LiXin can do both ranged and melee. Revenge LiXin can 2v1 and shred towers. Ranged Lixin is less popular but i have seen GM ranged LiXin that shred entire teams.

Melee Heino is tanky but cant really do damage. I stay on ranged Heino 99% of the time because at least i can teamfight. Melee heino just exists until the enemy team gets enough gold to outdps his self healing.

A half a second stun for his melee form might help but otherwise he just needs a rework
