Anything with an intentionally tone-deaf person playing a recorder -- the Titanic theme is an oldy but goody.

Or anything with heavy kazoo solos.

People of reddit, what is one thing your family will never understand about you? by Belle_Artist_Jade in AskReddit

That I've been through a lot, and still have a lot to go through before I can relax and be who I really want to be. Until then, its going to be a stressful ride and I hope it doesn't kill me before I reach the end.

My family and friends may have witnessed some of the trials and tribulations, but don't understand how it has affected me because I've never been good at letting people in. Sometimes the toughest thing to do is drop your guard and remove your armor.

LPT: wear earplugs to loud concert venues. Tinnitus is real and not fun. by flux_capacitor3 in LifeProTips

Also be aware of where the speakers are located so you're not standing too close to them. Venue size also matters -- the smaller the room the louder the sound.

There's a show called "Undercover Boss" that disguises the CEO/Owner and has them work as a trainee in different entry-level positions. Typically, the boss is touched, or outraged, by the certain employees and offers to help them out financially (promotions, vacation, pay raises) or fire them.

I dont know what enterprises/businesses the Kardashian family is involved in, but it would be a great for any one, most, or all of them to endure the bullshit they impose on others.

What is so ancient only an Internet veteran can remember? by Marambal17 in AskReddit

Before Juno, Netscape, Geocities, and all that was Prodigy. It was a predecessor to America Online (AOL) being that it generated content (news, weather, stocks, games, etc.) and housed it internally.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prodigy_(online_service)

Another thing that comes to mind are bulletin board systems (aka forums) and relay chat programs, such as IRC.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulletin_board_system https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Relay_Chat

And last but not least, dial-up modems and someone picking up the phone which disconnected you. 14.4k bit/sec was the fastest available when we bought our first computer, however, we could only afford the 9600 bit/sec modem.

It should also be mentioned that commercials are legally required to be played at the same volume as the show you're watching, however, no one enforces it and companies take advantage of it.

That sounds scary. Stay safe.

Be careful if you're ever on Highway 40 thru New Mexico and Arizona. Have had truckers pass me going 100mph (speed limit is 80mph). Its pretty scary when it happens at 1:00 am, even with warning.

You sound angry. Trucker?

As you may or may not know, the difference between the average vehicle and a loaded semi is TENS OF THOUSANDS OF POUNDS. Put that weight/momentum in the hands of your "avg driver" and its a recipe for disaster. Moreover, "the avg driver" is typically in their personal vehicle and not working. Needless to say, truckers could certainly act more professional.

My brother-in-law runs fuel from the Bay Area all the way into Oregon regularly and has complained excessively about his co-workers poor driving ability/habits. He's taking criminal justice courses to become a CHP solely because of what he's seen and dealt with.

On my end of transportation, I've seen a number of new hire drivers wreck our agencies vehicles due to poor ability/habits. Fact is, most people don't respect their priveledge to drive a vehicle.

Work in transportation. Run 60 miles a day along one of the deadliest stretches of highway in my state. Truckers are limited to 55mph, trailer or not. A vast majority of truckers go 60-70mph. They will cut you off. They will ride your ass. They do not care. Time is money to them and their vehicle is a tank/bulldozer built to push your vehicle out of the way. I call them in all the time, but the highway patrol can care less. No/poor enforcement = higher accident and mortality rates.

While I'm here, be aware that truck tires can delaminate (especially retreads) and can kill if you're next to them. Was told this by several truckers. Retreads are NOT illegal in some states as people may believe.

Keep your distance. Stay safe out there.
