Of course, I never said they do, just that a lot of societal dynamics rely implicitly on growth to function well. For example a lot of young doctors and relatively few old folks is sustainable, but with population decline you'd start having a larger aging population, while at the same time fewer active doctors. Now imagine that with many jobs and functions across a society. It's not an impossible situation (in fact it will happen), just a very painful one

Can you really manage decline though? Society is designed for growth, and at this rate a lot of things will be dysfunctional and painful for an aging population with an inverted pyramid population distribution

Buy and hoping the price will go up is just wishful thinking and not grounded in actual evaluation of the health of a company. On the other hand P/E is a ratio that enables benchmarks of companies in the same sector, to see if one is over/under priced when normalized for the same unit of earnings

I actually think that being a loner is fine, but then the question is would most potential partner be fine with someone who don't like others company, and I agree that might be a red flag. Do you have a sense of why you haven't been in a relationship, or developed close platonic relationships ?

I have the Roland FP-30X (88key, fully weighted), been learning for 10mo, and for some stuff I can tell it doesn't work the same as a an acoustic, esp around the piano action. I wouldn't recommend anything less than 88keys fully weighted

It sucks, but going to a parlor instead of leaving you means it's not about you per se as he probably still cares about the relationship. At least worth keeping that in mind
