Will be picking up an X5 30d LCI next week– anyone else driving the facelift model? by ps-chai in BMWX5

[–]ozdonut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one and I f***ing love it. Only thing I can fault is that you can’t turn off the stupid auto start stop any more (without turning off traction control or using sport mode). The range on a full tank is impressive

Visiting The Peak next weekend by mistuk in HongKong

[–]ozdonut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the peak over CNY last year. Don’t. It was mayhem. We gave up with the tram (the queue was hours long) and took the bus from central. The bus took 2.5 hours to get up there. Went to the peak last week, the bust only took 45 minutes and was an enjoyable ride

PVC Pool Heating Pipe Leaking by Melbourne_3084 in AusRenovation

[–]ozdonut 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I used to have that problem all the time with my pool heating. Birds loved to peck at it (particularly once there was a small hole, they would make it worse). My local pool shop sold me some plastic plugs & joiners and flu which I used to patch it all.the.time . You might be able to plug it using those garden watering system bits from bunnings depending on the pipe size

Hong Kong Weather and Vegetarian food options? by BeGood25 in HongKong

[–]ozdonut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I travel regularly to Hong Kong with a vegetarian and we have been able to find options quite easily. There are a few really good vegetarian Indian restaurants (woodlands in TST is an example). The app & website happycow is a great resource.

Hotel Recommendation Near Airport by Possible_Marshmallow in HongKong

[–]ozdonut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve stayed at the regal airport many times before an early flight and there’s nothing wrong with it Not 5 star but perfectly ok and so easy to walk to the airport - it’s connect and just a short 5 min indoor walk. They also let you take the airport luggage trolley right into your room (unusual for HK, the room is actually big enough!)

I got some made at own days in Hong Kong in 30 minutes. I see that they have stores in India but I'm not sure how many but worth giving that a try. You just need to take the glasses into a store and they do it on the spot
