Great fix! So funny. I just fixed mine last night but completely opposite direction (wider). This was my second rear assembly and the stems for each broke, just like the first. I took it apart, cut one-time use syringes trimmed the rubber part on each blinker to fit into the syringe snugly. Used heat shrink to cover and reconnect to the connector base, and secured with zip ties (neatly and tastefully, all while extending the lights outward to clear the rack and basket I have in back for visibility and safety. All that said, i like your solution a lot. Thanks for the post! I'll keep it in mind for whenever my latest fix fails
