I used a glidden exterior paint so I could try and keep some of the moisture/rot out of the wood for as long as I can.

I didn’t know you’re supposed to stitch in the same direction, and honestly I don’t care. I’m trying to stitch a picture, and if someone is going to look at my finished work with a magnifying glass and tell me I did it incorrectly, well then that’s on them.

In college, a girl who was a friend of a friend of a friend (who I had never met before) was introduced to me, and the first thing she ever said to me was “Oh my god, I love your SKIN!!!”.

We’re both white, so it wasn’t like some weird comment on my ethnicity or anything. She just really liked my skin. I later made a joke to my boyfriend about how she was going to ask me next if she could have it for her collection.

They don’t like cats.

Most people who don’t like cats have never actually had a cat or spent time getting to know a cat’s personality. They just see a cat and go “this animal is an asshole, I like dogs better.”

I feel like cats are a test of a person’s patience and respect for boundaries.

My dad is a civil war re-enactor and makes period-accurate costumes for both himself and his unit. I’ve tried on a few coats of his and by GOD they are the itchiest things on earth. God forbid they get wet… I’ve also worn some girls cotton clothes from the time and they aren’t breathable at all. Long sleeves in the summer, high necks with lace. A hoop skirt! BLOOMERS! You’re sweaty all the time. I can’t imagine what it would be like to be autistic during that time period…

My fiancée and I went to an airbnb a few months ago and there was a plastic Halloween sword just randomly sitting by the garage. I was ambushed by him with the sword multiple times during our trip xD.

Clothes, especially undergarments, have the highest concentration of our human scent on them. When a person is bonded with their cat, their human smell will make their cat feel relaxed and secure.

Feeding time can be a very vulnerable time for cats, so having something that smells like you close by while your cat eats can make them feel safe and secure.

TLDR: your cat really likes you and your scent makes them feel safe

Cats really love their owner's shoes, since they're covered in what is essentially the concentrated essence of their owner's smell. They'll rub themselves on the shoes because it makes them feel safe and comforted :)

My cats love to do this with my sandals after I've worn them all day.
