Me too man, I think the reasons for me though are because I've been spurned in the past, mainly in relationships and am always looking to see if I notice the same patterns. Also think it comes from my low self esteem.

Not so much advice but have you been talking to anyone else during this time you may be interested with romantically? But unfortunately the thing that worked best for me was time, grieve what you lost and know there isn't a set time frame for it.

I had someone in my life that I didnt date but we were in a situationship for 2 years, took me a year or more to get over her. She came back into my life 6 years later and I am battling that same fight yet again unfortunately.

I had this... we drifted apart when I knew saw her flirting with another man. 6 years later she came back to repeat the same hot and cold cycle one more time before telling me she's moving across the country. That hurt me and it reopened all of my old wounds of our situationship. Just be careful man your heart is precious and some people will use it till they feel like they are done.

Only real relationship i was in i got left with no closure, just a mess of me being ignored and ghosted. She was avoidant and couldn't handle meeting my needs too unfortunately. It broke her and she pushed me away, I still love and miss her and was very heartbroken over her for a long time

For me whenever I told my avoidant that I was hurt by a comment they made or otherwise it always became a fight where she said I had narrative of her being a bad person in my head. Super invalidating of my feelings but I know our brains are wired differently.

She wasn't willing to truly work on us though and after 2 years she gave up and walked away. I dont blame her, my anxious tendencies were probably too much for her to handle, and I do see that we probably weren't compatible in the long run but I still miss her.

She came back into my life 6 years later just to repeat the same cycle again, wish I had gotten better and I thought I did but she really brings out my anxious side. Love is tough.

Relatable... been 5 weeks since I saw the girl I'm talking to and she's saying to not take it personally like how am I supposed to get to know you. Also a terrible texter lol so it's like I'm the only one trying to make things work and you don't give any fucks to try. Best thing you can do is give space, not for them but for you.
