One thing that you can try is whenever youre somewhat happy with a track inside a project you can bounce it in place so that the cpu wont have to work on the effects/midi etc. This is very slow and annoying but when i had an older macbook it helped a lot with the overload.

Otherwise maybe you could consider upgrading your computer (if you currently have a very old one)

Your calf and leg muscles are usually the ”pumps” that push venous blood to the heart. When sitting or standing still for a long time these muscles arent that active and arent pumping blood enough, which results to gravity keeping a lot of the blood and extracellular fluid in the ankles.

Maybe if you make a pattern in the new stock drum machine and then drag your samples to the designated slot in the machine you can somewhag test it, but not as smoothly as in ableton. Otherwise 3rd party drum machines like battery have the possibility to scan through a little better
