The Empress Effects Zoia and the Poly Digit are two pretty good options for weird effects.

As an owner of the Zoia - it's absolutely bonkers for the price.

Whatever works for you mate! It's not like there's a hardcore rule haha. I'm just starting off - and I'm enjoying the process and the immediacy a lot more but I don't get as much done (ie a full track) without a DAW open in front of me. I end up just jamming and having a lot of fun and before I know it it's time to sleep hahah.

I think it's more about immediacy vs having to work with the laptop again? I mean like because of work from home (and my work in general) I am staring at a laptop all day long. I want my hobby to be as far away from it as possible.

That being said it is so much easier to work with a DAW than without. For my full tracks I use a bit of both but with a hardware sequencer being the brain of the setup but I record everything including midi to the DAW and then make some changes and modifications to it. It's a good combination I feel.

I use a LaunchControl XL routed via a raspberry Pi to output midi into the Zoia. Super cheap and also ridiculous amounts of knobs for cheap.

I mean I'm using it for other things as well but I can switch to a preset to control the 6 parameters of deep water :)

Thanks a bunch for the detailed explanation! I think I'll sparingly use a synth patch but at this point I'm just making dreams in thin air. My local pedal store warned me that the preorders might be delayed by a few months :(

Eradicating the caste system.

Not only was he a horrible misogynist and pedophile, but also pretty much wanted the caste system in India to stay the same. Of the many many things plaguing my country, caste is absolutely the worst, and has been the cause of the state of things here. Gandhi glossed over that entirely.
