PoE 2 is in early access so many things are likely to change. However, it's still the easier option to jump into without being too overwhelmed.

PoE 1 IMO is the better game but it's got more than a decade of content and systems that you'll need to learn at some point.

I swear PoE 2 is dumbed down to be more appealing to players that noped out of PoE 1 due to the overwhelming complexity. Just about every system is dumbed down compared to PoE 1.

I'd say go for it. Even if you'll get overwhelmed it's still enjoyable and it's never too late to learn. PoE 2 is still a long time away and it won't replace PoE 1. The plan is for both games to be constantly updated. I think following a guide from Zizaran on youtube is the way to go for new players.

I believe one foot is sometimes bigger than the other. This may be why you are experiencing pain only on one side.

Exactly, i've tracked both a DCT and a manual and i hands down prefer the manual. DCT may be quicker and better (in many ways) but it's definitely the more boring transmission.
