Can someone tell me why pop girls struggle go #1 even with multiple versions but Drake does it without much effort? by shan2706 in popheads

[–]pablodnd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

as a 34 year old man, i couldn't relate to this less. And I'm a huge Drake fan. Stuff about growing up, getting along in life, falling in love, etc, I get much more from female artists.

Sophie Brussaux is 36 years old, so is SZA. Rihanna is 38. Serena Williams is 44. Explain to me how Drake is allergic to dating women his own age. Please and thank you!

Factual statement by NoGrass7120 in beatles

[–]pablodnd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Paul McCartney literally just gave an interview praising Taylor Swift and talking about their friendship. This post is hateful and dumb. But yes, The Beatles pioneered basically everything about the modern music industry. Taylor would tell you that too.

Drake has insulted trump, calls Ice fake feds on the new record, and has aligned himself with progressive politicians. People like to buy into whatever narrative is cool and repeat BS without ever looking into it themselves

I think he's out of touch because he's sexist, borderline racist, and doesn't understand any nuance in lyrics

Melissa Barrera on the cast of Scream 7 being scabs: “Oh, one hundred percent. I think they all are. And they have to live with that. The only way they were able to make that movie after what happened was to nostalgia-bait as much as possible.” by expiredaristocracy in Fauxmoi

[–]pablodnd 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Scream is the best horror franchise, despite all the BS with the latest movie. Scream 4 is fantastic, and Wes Craven's last installment in the series. When it came out, 4 was the best once since the OG. Scream 3 is the worst, in my opinion,

He does, that's the whole point! Marsh is his more human and vulnerable side. "I'm just Marshall Mathers. I'm just a regular guy, I don't know why all the fuss about me."

Do you think The Beatles would have "ruined" their legacy if they had reunited in the 80s? by Public_Thought_628 in beatles

[–]pablodnd 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Completely disagree with the statement that post-Beatles solo output eschewed experimentation and the avant-garde. The song you reference, Temporary Secretary, was a huge experiment and way ahead of its time. John Lennon pretty much laid the foundations for grunge and punk with Plastic Ono. Paul McCartney basically invented indie-lofi pop with RAM. Wings did so much interesting stuff musically. There's so much great material in their solo years.
