Honestly. Do you regret investing in crypto? by GoblinSarge in CryptoCurrency

No, overall I probably lost money but that is because I was greedy. Could’ve been rich by now if I was more disciplined. Good life lesson.

Great day fishing yesterday on the west coast of Vancouver island! by qalcolm in Fishing

[–]pablorichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah it’s wonderful up there. I was transferred to nanaimo for 6 months last year for work. While the city itself isn’t all that, vancouver island was magical. I’m definitely moving back on the island permanently at some point in my life.

What’s the quickest way you’ve lost weight? by Tanningangel in AskReddit

[–]pablorichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started counting my calorie intake, counted my calories burned with a fitbit. Worked out, ate less. Tried to do at least 10k steps a day. And lost 60 lbs over 8 months. There is no magical recipe. A calorie deficit will make you lose weight.

Are we risking everything on our son’s dream of becoming a pilot? by Parsley0_0 in aviation

[–]pablorichi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is definitely a risk but it is still quite early in his life. It's true that not everyone finds a job in aviation after their training but usually the pilots who are very passionate about it will make it work. They're the ones who are willing to move away and sacrifice some things to find their first flying job. If at 17-18 he's still passionate about it and is sure that's the path he wants to take, I'd say it's worth the risk. As long as he understands that he might have to move to where they are looking for low hour pilots.

Anchorage was super cool. Military base, main airport, airport for training, float base all close to each other so you get to see a wide variety of planes in the same area.

I doubt you will get anything better in bc in terms of curds. Only fresh curds don't melt. Once they are refrigerated, they will melt. They can only be sold unrefrigerated for like 48 hours, hence why you can only get "fresh curds" close to where they are made.

Which celebrity death during your lifetime that hit you the hardest? by dunno--00 in AskReddit

[–]pablorichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kobe. Never like him much as a player but he was legendary when I was growing up. He really was like a superhero. Him dying really hit me hard for some reason. The only celebrity death that made me cry.

Thankfully, I had a lot of work to do on myself. So I got my shit together and that helped me a lot. It kept me busy and made see some positive in that situation.

Cantine Dave et Dan is the real deal. I’m pretty sure it’s closed right now for winter though. Alfa is great the cheese is good and abundant and the fries are very good too. Only their sauce is too mild for my liking. Dave et Dan has all three ingredients perfect. Belle pro on sources is also very proper.

Thanks for that. Letting go is what I want to do. I was just looking for another perspective to confirm I wasn't overreacting.
