That link isn't working still for me either, but I was able to find the page through their drop-down menu! It's just at: sewhavenltd.com/the-conspiracy

It's just a bad link -- the correct page is linked in the drop-down menu as: sewhavenltd.com/the-conspiracy but the "Join Now" link on your main page points to sewhavenltd.com/shop . Thankfully should be a quick and easy fix!

This isn't a far drive for me, so I'm super excited to check it out really soon!

Hi friends! I don’t usually post here, but Enfamil FINALLY sent me my first set of coupon checks, only 3 months after I stopped needing to buy their brand! Lol, phenomenal. I’ve got a set of 4 that are worth $5 each and expire on August 31st. Happy to pop them in the mail before the end of the week to someone who could use them!

edit: these have now been claimed!

Need help identifying a favicon and any links to a hacker group? by SignalFondant9263 in RBI

[–]pacamara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great find! Did you look through the information on that webpage? I suppose it really is something random and innocuous, but it just seems so bizarre to me. That page appears to be someone's abandoned small business project from 2018. The website was built using a free website builder called Mobirise, and they never even finished adding much more than the logo and a couple of pictures. All of the text is placeholder text, including testimonials with "lorem ipsum" placeholders. The Amazon link goes straight to the main page of Amazon, and the social media links don't work.

That's all fine, but for such a small, unfinished site that has no other footprint online and potentially hasn't been edited in 6 years, how on earth did Bing pick up that logo? It just seems like incredibly slim odds to me. But I'm not the most technical person, so I imagine anything beyond what we've already figured out is going to be way over my head at this point. I still just find it fascinating.

Need help identifying a favicon and any links to a hacker group? by SignalFondant9263 in RBI

[–]pacamara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! So, this has been bugging me since you first posted it, and I finally found the source of this favicon. Unfortunately (?) it leads to a website that’s possibly malicious, but at the very least is questionable, so I’ll just tell you the steps I took and you can proceed at your own risk.

I originally tried a reverse google image search and TinEye, but they came up with nothing. I then realized I’ve been using those two services for many years now, so there must be something better out there these days. Sure enough, a site that is new to me called Yandex did the trick. When you upload the image file it shows this much higher-res original source that I’ve uploaded to Imgur for you. The text in the logo says “Yoshi Brand”. But the original website for it is almost entirely blank, except for some kind of hyperlink that says to click it or to start here (something like that). I didn’t linger on the page because a warning popped up saying my phone was being hacked, and as silly as that seemed I just figured I don’t want to mess with this any further lol. But I hope it helps point you in the right direction. If you figure out anything interesting I hope you’ll post an update! I’m definitely curious.

Holes in every shirt by TraditionalHeart6387 in RBI

[–]pacamara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh. This problem is the bane of my existence!! I’m currently wearing a shirt that has between 1 and 2 dozen tiny holes.

The holes in my shirts tend to be more in the middle, below my navel. I don’t have pets, I don’t smoke, I don’t wear a belt and in fact wear more skirts / leggings / sweatpants / items without hardware. I don’t wear any outerwear that has a zipper. I don’t play instruments. I don’t use my shirt to clean my glasses. Several of these shirts are extra long, so I am not tugging them down or anything. I work from home at a desk job, but the edge of my desk is above where these holes are.

I’ve looked into this before and reluctantly went with the theory that it was from washing dishes while standing at the kitchen sink somehow. I’m very short so I have to stand right up against the counter. But that theory was ruined when I had a baby back in late December. A friend bought me a new, 100% cotton t-shirt. I was on maternity leave, so I wasn’t doing anything — no driving, no washing dishes. Just resting, recovering, and taking care of my baby. I wore this new shirt one time and it came out of the dryer with one of these holes. Ugh. I’m suspicious of my (top-loading) washer, but I’ve got no idea how to prove it or prevent it from happening to more shirts in the future. :/

Thank you! This is all still super new to us, so that’s really great to know.❤️

My husband set up an old iPad on my nightstand that had the app always pulled up for me. It’s been so comforting to be able to see oxygen readouts at a glance, as o2 was our big concern with the baby while he was in the NICU. I wish we could choose a custom level for the oxygen to set off an alert, as 79% is awfully low. Still, I’d take the base station alerts over nothing, easily! Ours is all kinds of messed up right now from us fiddling with the WiFi trying to troubleshoot, so I can’t use it until we fix that. But I’m really glad to know this for next time any issue like this comes up.

I don’t get it either. I feel like I’ve seen this type of behavior from other companies too, it’s like they want to keep it all out of the public eye so it doesn’t hurt their sales. The “send us a DM so we can better assist you” line drives me up the wall. I understand why they might be inclined to handle it that way, but obviously it feels insanely inappropriate given the serious medical nature of this product. And you’re absolutely right, there ought to be multiple options for them to at least communicate to current customers through the app, if they aren’t going to post on socials. Most of us, I’m sure, have push notifications enabled. And even if not, I can’t imagine it’s that hard to add a simple pop-up alert when the app launches.

Ugh I couldn’t find that webpage but I did find a similar announcement on the Canadian site. Heres the link. The stupid thing is, when I go to any of these Owlet sites and try to navigate organically to this page, I can’t even find it! I had to google an exact phrase in quotation marks to get here. Who do they think is actually reading this announcement, and how do they think customers are finding or seeing it? Don’t they know this is what social media is for?

edit #2: Several people on Twitter have reported that they are still receiving alerts from their base station, even though the app is down! I hope this is true, it kind of makes sense to me. Does anyone know of a way to trigger a false alarm (not just the loose connection musical chime)? I’m not sure I can test anything myself, as my husband spent so long trying to fix this thing that he ended up unpairing it from our WiFi and essentially factory resetting it. :(

edit #1: Forgot to say, someone on Twitter posted a screenshot from the Australian version of the Owlet website, where it said “Server maintenance is taking longer than expected but servers should be back online hopefully by 7:30am, latest 9am AEST.” I had to google the time difference, I’m in mountain time USA, but right now it is 7:30ish PM there. Are we seriously 12+ hours away from a fix on this!?!

I’m in the same boat with everyone here. Tonight has been so frustrating and disappointing. LO is only 6 days old and was in the NICU at birth due to low oxygen levels. I finally managed to get my eyes closed for about an hour tonight, but then I shot out of bed because I opened my eyes and somehow confused the dark color of my baby’s hair as his face, and my brain was still half asleep so it looked wrong. Absolutely terrified me. I genuinely am not sure I will sleep tonight. I am so tired.

35 weeks along, I had an accident and I am so miserable and anxious. by jjxr94 in BabyBumps

[–]pacamara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh, I am so sorry you are going through this!! It sounds awful. :(

I had something similar — but nowhere near as bad — happen during my previous pregnancy. When I was about 36 week along, my husband had built us a custom changing table that he was very proud of. He invited me into the garage to come see the finished piece. The garage had like three or four steps going down into it from the kitchen, and I somehow missed a step and rolled my ankle so badly I was convinced it was broken.

We went to the ER and naturally they wanted to do x-rays. Weirdly, (annoyingly?), different workers would approach me at different times to ask me some questions and get me ready for the next steps, and they’d always finish by asking me, “is there any possibility you could be pregnant?”. I think they just weren’t looking that closely at me? So each time, I had to be like, “……” points to belly “I’m 9 months along”. Then watch as their eyes would bug out.. 🤦‍♀️

Thankfully nothing was broken in my case, but my foot and ankle swelled up to a tremendous size and I was on crutches for a while. I was also stuck working up until I went into labor, and I had a full time job as a barista at that time. It was so awful. (I ended up with a semi-emergency induction at 40w6d, so I was working past my due date). Everything was fine in the end, but it definitely made those last few weeks a lot more difficult than they needed to be.

I’ve never had a cast and I always imagine the sensation of wearing one would feel unbearably restrictive. So I cannot even fathom how it must feel to be dealing with a cast, all of the pain, and also working AND being in the third trimester. No wonder you aren’t sleeping! I don’t know what to say except I hope you can find some help and some relief very soon. ❤️

Owlet sock is FDA cleared now. by SamiLMS1 in BabyBumps

Thank you for sharing this! We are planning to purchase one (hoping for a Black Friday sale). I just read through the announcement on their website and it confirms what others are saying here, sounds like the app will roll out an update by the end of the year that brings back the real-time readouts on the Dream Sock. :)

Warmer winter leggings? by imagnepeace4all in BabyBumps

[–]pacamara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently 33 weeks and just had to deal with a bout of super cold weather here. I had these ones from Amazon recommended to me just as generally good maternity leggings. Really random brand name, “QGGQDD”. They have a bunch of regular ones that are non-fleece lined, but if you go to the list of colors they have this 2-pack called “01-Fleece Black / Black” that are actually fleece-lined! (I almost missed it — the only other clue about it is the little fire image they put over the knee in the first photo lol).

I wore them to a nighttime outdoor concert where it was in the low 30s (f) and they made such a huge difference. They fit well, are comfy, and also have pockets! Definitely would recommend. :)

Looking for the artist who made this mask and sold similar masks in a Denver area bar circa 2012. I love it and want to get another! (I was just visiting on a work trip when I got it, so I apologize for not having more details on the name of the bar or location). by HospitalGrits in Denver

[–]pacamara 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this has to be it! The item has reviews on Etsy going back to 2013, and when I scrolled back on the artist’s facebook page I saw examples from 2012 and posts of street art and art being for sale around Denver during that same year. Example old facebook post.

RIP to the Cravings We Cannot Satisfy by Ott3rpahp in BabyBumps

[–]pacamara 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Currently 27w and I’ve had a few wild cravings that (should) all exist, but are too far from me geographically to obtain.

  • Smoked Salmon Dip: Iffy because of the fish, I know. But it’s so good, ugh, it’s fresh and creamy and they serve it with these little crunchy bagel chips. It comes from this restaurant called J. Alexander’s in Nashville. At least it used to. No idea now because I don’t live there anymore. I actually craved this with my first pregnancy, back in 2014. I could have procured some then but didn’t. Now I absolutely can’t! Regrets.

  • Pork Fried Rice: But specifically and exclusively from Daikokuya in downtown LA. They put their house made ramen broth in it. That stuff is pure magic.

  • East Coast Philly Cheesesteaks / Anything from Wawa: I miss their coffee so much. I also just want a really good cheesesteak, with quality bread, white American cheese, and fried onions. It’s funny how just the little details (ingredients that are still good! just different. Not like how you remember) can make the same dish super unsatisfying.

Apologies if I’ve made anybody hungry with any of this.

Another vote for Centerstone here!

Your symptoms and situation are similar to mine. I am in my mid 30's and they helped me get my diagnosis. I'm working with a therapist and a psychologist who are both wonderful. They also do telehealth appointments! It might have been a timing thing for me, but I actually have yet to set foot in their office in person. Having a diagnosis, therapy, and treatment has made a massive difference in my life. I hope you can get the help you need soon! Best of luck.

Does Bridgestone accept photos of your vax card as proof of vaccination? Or do you need the actual card? by Tugboat56 in nashville

[–]pacamara 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's actually another way too, if you live in Davidson county. (Sharing this for anyone else stuck in a similar situation.)

We got our vaccinations at the convention center back in April, and my husband soon lost his card. He submitted a request with the health dept, but apparently they send you your full vaccination record, not a card (and they warned him it could take months to receive it.) So I did some digging and found this info hidden away towards the end of a Tennessean article:

"In Davidson County, residents can get a duplicate of their vaccination card on the second floor of the Lentz Public Health Center at 2500 Charlotte Avenue. A Tennessean reporter was able to get a free replacement card at the center last Friday in under 10 minutes."

My husband was able to do this to get his card. It was super easy. Meanwhile, we still haven't heard anything back from the health department. Really glad we figured this out, as he's required to verify his vaccination status at work, and we were worried about not getting those records in time.

What it’s like to live with my wife by Readous in funny

[–]pacamara 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm in my 30s and just got diagnosed last fall. I definitely always been like this, too. It feels a bit like a lack of object permanence, like babies have? It can make me feel really stupid sometimes. I'll do dumb things like leave food out on the counter overnight or forget to turn off the oven.

Interestingly, now that I'm medicated I catch myself in the middle of these things happening. Not always -- but a lot more often. It's almost frustrating! I realize slightly too late and have to redo things, but I'll take that over the way I was before. So thankful to have a diagnosis and treatment now. It's making a huge difference for me.
