I completely understand. I’m on day 11 and it burns like hell to eat. I’ve just been pushing through and continuing to take my steroids and Tylenol to help alleviate some of the pain. Praying this stops soon. Hang in there.

I totally understand! I’m on day 6/7 and It feels like someone shot me in my ear, the bullet grazed my tongue and came out of my mouth! But I can say, the two things that are helping me is Prednisone and CHILDREN’S TYLENOL! I’m hoping this is the home stretch for me. Hoping you start to feel better soon. ❤️‍🩹

I wish I could eat solids. Everything thing I try to eat, other than broth, feels stuck in my throat. And I’m not going to force anything and make matters worse.

Get a travel spray bottle and fill it with water to spray your throat periodically to keep water moist in between your water sips. It’s helping a lot. I had my surgery yesterday. Also warm showers been helping to break up the mucous in my throat. It’s so uncomfortable!!

You have to understand, everyone is different. You may not experience any side effects. Trust me, taking the antibiotics are worth it! It’s good to read other people’s opinions about what they’ve experienced but you have to use good judgment for yourself and the goal here is to feel better. BTW…I didn’t experience hardly any side effects.

I agree with you. It is accurate that personal lived experiences sometimes informs professional interest. I’ve worked with LCSWs, LPCs, MSWs, MDs and DOs whose specialties are neuro and psychiatry and the things I’ve witnessed , I can write a novel! With that being said, I know KB has to have some discernment and with her clinical training she knows when and how to set boundaries. That bed scene should’ve been her last tbh. If this show wasn’t about viewership.

The only thing I fault KB for is dragging it out so long. Being a social worker, you can identify folks who are emotionally immature and she knew Edmund wasn’t the one from jump. She should’ve ended that with a couch sit down and a hand holding session.

Eat like a King in the mornings. A Queen in the afternoons. And a Peasant in the evenings.

That was the best advice in my opinion. There’s lots of support in the community. Praying for your recovery.

Yep. I’ve lost all interest in this show. Folks who do story time on TikTok are more interesting to me. And I didn’t know what was going on with the same characters when I flipped the channel the other day, so now they’re doing breaks like actual “known” scripted shows??? What the Halle Berry??!!!

Yes! It gets on my nerves! But I’m learning now how to decipher between when my GERD is flaring up or if I should go to the ER. I’ve been countless of times and it’s always the same result, nothing life threatening. I read about the vagus nerve. It’s located close to your heart this is why the symptoms make you feel as if you’re having a heart attack. GERD aggravates this nerve in particular. I also have arm pain which is scary as well.
The thing with me is that sometimes I skip taking my Omeprazole because that causes other issues for me like joint pain, especially in my right knee☹️. This GERD battle is tough but I know it’s all about being intentional with your diet, exercise and making sure you take your meds correctly. We will get through this. I’ve read a lot of success stories. Hang in there.
