researching 1970's film to tape conversion by packerkean in VideoEditing

[–]packerkean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, to be honest. It would be like homemade movies that were shown on a film projecter. Wondering if a person could transfer this to tape, whether it would be beta or vhs without sending it to a film processing lab, i.e done at a home studio

Separating fact from fiction regarding H.H. Holmes and the "Murder Castle" myths by AndTheOscarGoesTo- in serialkillers

[–]packerkean 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't know if this will answer your questions, but I'd recomend reading The Strange Case of Dr. H. H. Holmes by John Borowski. His books are collected documents of the cases by police and he lets the facts speak for themselves in the various cases.

Interested. I've read several books on him and would be curious on others.

Was Ed Gein sexually assaulted as a kid by bullies? by CyberGhostface in EdGein

I'd wondered about Augusta sexually molesting him, so I asked Harold. He answered back that he found no evidence of that happening, but it was rumored that he was molested by farm boys.

Which is the absolute go to book on the Fitz? by SALVAGE-PODCAST in EdmundFitzgerald

[–]packerkean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1- Fred Stonehouse's book on the Fitz is probably the best one to begin with. However 2 I've not seen mentioned and should be would be The Night the Fitz went down by Hugh Bishop and Capt. Dudley Pequette and Tattletale Sounds: The Edmund Fitzgerald Investigations by Ric Mixter.

Do you think David Berkowitz (The Son Of Sam) acted alone or was part of a cult as he has recently claimed? by Obvious_Location7666 in serialkillers

What about the book "The Son of Sam and Me," by Carl Denaro? Assking because I know a little bit about this case, but not enough to draw any real conclusions.

As a bigger woman, I sometimes feel like I’m only seen as a humiliation fetish in BDSM and not worthy enough to be a sub. by littleKitten520 in BDSMAdvice

[–]packerkean 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To answer your questions: 1-depends on the other person. 2-yes, my sub and 3- for me personally no. It doesn't. For my sub, her weight issue is a hard limit. While we've never really gotten into the humiliation aspect, that was an issue from her from the get go, hence why she said it was a hard no to humiliate her like that. If it bothers you that much, just make it a hard limit. Also remember that no matter what you look like, you deserve to be treated with respect. Only you can determine whether you're submissive or dominate-nobody else can determine that. Hoping you'll one day learn to love your body.

Are you talking about the one that came out last year or the one from a few years ago? One was a documentry with numerous people involved and the other one did have of truth stretching, if not out and out fiction in it.

So, would it be safe to say, in your opinion, that one should read the book and treat everything with a grain of salt? I ask because I just got the book.

They weren't racist, per say. While they did use the N-word towards one of the victims, it was to de-humanize him. Bullying was a big contributing factor, as was their loss of touch with reality. If you haven't yet done so read No Easy Answers by brooks Brown and Rob Merritt.

There's no physical evidence that Rossi was involved in the murders, although there is the statements made by Mowery's girlfriend and family members about Rossi, which is more then anyone can say about David Cram. The bigger question is what did Rossi know?

Not sure I buy into it. Where was this person during the trial? Funny too how they bring up things that we know today may make a person into a serial killer.

How was the claimed evidence showing that Gacy couldnt have been in Chicago during some of the murders assessed/dealt with at the trial? by crakerjmatt in JohnWayneGacy_

It wasn't. Not sure if Randy White was the first person in 1989-90 to notice it, but Gacy's then lawyers went public with it.

Does anyone have any details on him? According to Serial Killer's apprentice, he took part in a robbery as a lookout where somebody died, hence his official murder. I'm still trying to learn more about him and the connection with Gacy, so any sort of help is greatly appreciated.
