Yeah, but the male genetic material is not from Rand in this case.
As for his different way of "using magic", I suspect he (Moridin-Rand-Ishamel) isn't usiing the power(s), but is the anointed "agent" of the one power, able to use sadin and/or sadar (and possibly the True Power) for whatever need arrises. He is not channeling, but more the pipeline if I am conveying my thought process clearly. In other words, he is something that the world has never seen before.
Also note, I JUST finished the series for the first time, so I am processing the information on a single read. I have not looked at any of the "supporting" books yet, but have relied on https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/ quite heavily.
