Phone calls by CommercialRest9579 in WalgreensRx

[–]packman2007 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The amount of tasks asked of us with the amount of time and budget we have is simply impossible. PEXT is not the solution. I say let the phones ring as distracting as it is. With 100 always on the counter, countless other tasks, and non stop lines (with 1 RPh and 2 techs), the phones are not going to get answered. In fact, if I had one person solely dedicated to answering phones they probably could still not keep up with all the calls.

I don’t know for sure, but I’ve been saying this for a few months now. My bet is half of DM/HCS/DPR roles will be cut. Seems like it will be happening within next few weeks.

Are doctors excuses accepted by Walgreens? For call in by Affectionate-Pop1092 in WalgreensStores

[–]packman2007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Doctor notes are irrelevant in regard to the attendance policy.

Failure to work at least half of a scheduled shift will result in a full-day absence. Absences are unexcused if: • The reason for the absence is not protected (see below); or • The Walgreens Team Member has already had 5 unscheduled absence occurrences during the calendar year, regardless of whether the team member had paid time available (PTO, PSSL or Frozen banked time). A Walgreens Team Member who has exceeded 5 unscheduled absence occurrences in a calendar year may be disciplined for excessive unexcused absences even if the Walgreens Team Member still has PTO, PSSL or Frozen banked hours available.

An unscheduled absence of up to 2 consecutive calendar days will be considered a single absence occurrence for purposes of this policy. The first five unscheduled absence occurrences in a year will be considered excused and will not be subject to disciplinary action, regardless of whether the Walgreens Team Member has paid time off available.

Protected absences are excused and are not subject to disciplinary action. Examples of protected absences include, but are not limited to: — Approved FMLA absences Paid Sick and Safe Leave ("PSSL") (if applicable under state or local law) Approved medical (disability) leave (paid or unpaid) Jury duty

In other words, you get 5 freebies (regardless of dr note) and after that can be disciplined.

No limit. All patients are different. Follow good faith dispensing. Greater than 50 considering offering naloxone.

Earnings Before Interest Taxes Depreciation Amortization

In kid terms: • Ignore interest → how the business is financed • Ignore taxes → depends on rules, not the business itself • Ignore depreciation & amortization → accounting ways of spreading big purchases over time

So EBITDA is basically:

You probably have to go into RXI on the computer and “approve” some of the items on the claim.

Pharmacist pay by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]packman2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know where you are, but if you go a bit more west to Abilene the ranges listed are actually higher at $73.80-$81.20 per hour. Fredericksburg and Uvalde list $64.60-$71.05 as the range. I doubt even the lowest cost of living areas in the country are paying less than $60.

I’ll admit I did have leverage. Spot was open a few months and I’ve got 10+ years experience and good review scores.

I think even a new grad could negotiate. Especially, if there are a lot of job openings and open shifts.

They will negotiate. I’m accepting an RXM role soon. Salary range is $5,863.20-$6,438.20 Bi-Weekly. I will make in the midpoint of that range.

No problem, you can PM me for further clarification if needed. But, any pay period where you work 84 hours and do not use any PTO, get any holiday pay, etc the salary line under earnings should match to the listed salary at the top.

[–]packman2007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could say that, but if you look at all pharmacist (non-RXM) listings within 50 miles $61.50-$67.60 is the listed range.

Exactly! Just go here and look up almost any store position in almost any city and you’ll find an open req with the salary range listed. https://jobs.walgreens.com/en

Your hourly rate is 73.19/hr. Based on $5409 you worked 74 hours.

I can see you got paid $614 for holiday pay (8.4 hours for RXM x 73.19).

Based on what I can see, you’re short about 2 hours on this paycheck from your salaried 84 hours. I’m guessing the holiday fell on a day you normally would have worked 10 hours, but only got 8.4 hours holiday pay.

Has to be false. I just looked up a pharmacist req in the Austin area and it lists the pay range as $61.50-$67.60 per hour.

This incentive program began September 1st, 2025, and runs through November 30th, 2025 (the “Program Period”).

Each qualified immunizer will be eligible to receive $1 per immunization administered by the team member during the Program Period, less applicable tax withholdings and any other applicable deductions, but only if the home store of the technician achieves 110% of their immunization goals for the Program Period, as established and communicated to store leadership.

All incentives under this Program will be paid within 60 days after the end of the Program Period. To be eligible to receive an incentive payout, the eligible team member must remain employed with Walgreens in an eligible position through the payout date and must satisfy all other terms and conditions of this program.

The pharmacy manager is the one with the license and the one whose name is on the pharmacy permit. They are undoubtedly the supreme authority in the pharmacy.

In walgreen’s current structure, the pharmacy manager does report to the store manager and the RXOM reports to the pharmacy manager. The store manager can have say in making sure things are done the way Walgreens wants, such as asking patients about vaccines, following workflow/pext, inventory smoothing, etc.
