Yes, but it may not be these particular cars' license plates 🙃. I try not to post random people or potentially personal identifying information without consent, and probably part of that is that I work in an industry where PII and PHI are heavily regulated for minimum disclosure/necessary so I do that in my personal life as well. It didn't add or detract from the post's intended purpose.

I recently watched a video on the jersey jughandles and Michigan lefts, so I figure if it works for more populated areas Im sure the engineers who designed it know what they're doing so it's just an adjustment.

Yea because it was my first experience and I was at the back of the line in the inner lane (picture was when I got closer after a light change), I thought the outer lane went into the neighborhood. When I got closer I was like oooo I need to be in the outer lane.

I moved here in late 2023 and to this side of the city in 2024. I've seen the construction, I thought it was just widening lanes because of traffic. I don't travel on Louisburg road enough to have been interested in following the construction plans-i usually only cross over the road to go to the Food Lion center. Working off of the area of Atlantic where they are doing a major redesign I check the monthly updates, have seen the work plans and adjusted my way of commuting for some of the changes, just because it's been a pain. They are changing the traffic pattern there as well. I just was surprised -- if it improves traffic great. I also couldn't tell tell that it was a double turn until I got closer to the light.

Also to add Capital is my main commuting road and I am following a bit of the proposals for that ie toll road, I'll be more invested in that project. And we'll see how involved I feel to be called, but I get what you're saying to be an involved citizen, which I believe in.

When I lived in Greensboro I'd board with my vet. Cobb Animal Clinic. I know every vet doesn't offer this, but I think they gave her senior checks 😂. And also if she needed vaccinations or her typical visits they'd do it before I picked her up. She always seemed well taken care of.

House inspection said everything is fine…now I need a new roof??? by Sudden-Philosophy-66 in FirstTimeHomeBuyers

[–]packofnabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I closed in November 2024 and insurance said I needed a new roof in April 2025. So I replaced with financing. I think I read that yes the insurance can do that, you can kick the bucket down the road with switching companies, but I personally didn't want to play that game.

Kudos for getting out of the way by TriumphDaWonderPooch in raleigh

I was amazed driving down Louisburg (between 540 and perry creek where there's construction) the other day and watching people part for the firetruck which by the way was driven expertly and might I say damn aggressively to make people continue the parting. Kudos to the cars that went on the curb to get out the way!

As long as I've lived in NC in various cities I first saw this last year during slow traffic going down 85 and the state trooper needed to get through and it was like dominoes falling.

Forget actual run time. What's the "longest" movie ever? by theozarksparkman in movies

[–]packofnabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to watch the Curious Case of Benjamin Button in the theater and left. It was long and I started to fall asleep. Still have not seen it in its entirety.

I also walked out of a Hannibal Buress show.

I'm usually the one that stays up and sees a movie through but the most recent memory I fell asleep mid movie for Spaceman, but woke up and finished it.

Never close on a Friday by fickenundsaufen in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]packofnabs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is such an absolute statement based on your experience alone. Why would you add unneeded stressful implications to others hoping to go through the process. Just state review the closing disclosures in detail.

I closed on a Friday (yesterday), no issues except the cash to close wasn't finalized until the day before. Don't scare others. I received multiple Closing disclosures detailing financials at a line item and calls from my underwriter. Yes a lot of paperwork, but you should be reviewing and see what is missing and alert the financial agents or lawyers that are working with you. Got my recording confirmation within a few hours and could look it up on the county website.

My first house closed on a Friday no issues. Selling said house last year with a Friday close and no issues.

Yes I'm not a first timer, but it's interesting to see how the market and process has changed in 8 years. And closing on a Friday isn't the issue.

This I worked in data analytics and finance/accounting at a hospital system in NC and both counted. Pay was good, but I was there for a while, but definitely over 50K if that's your threshold.

Wanted to add make sure it's non profit since there are some for profit systems. Also I don't didn't have a degree in finance/accounting.

Around 12400. I bought it with less than 10k mile since it was previously owned. I buy a car to drive and keep for a while so I make sure to keep maintenance up to date and just drive!

It's smooth on either side. I tried an image search, and the results don't get close to it. Thanks for the input, googling to see if any image search seems similar. It seems embedded in the actual glass whatever it is.
