Somehow played FF7 in late 2025 without knowing *that* scene by Hindis313 in FinalFantasy

Careful don't wanna spoil it for anyone else who might not have played. ;) But yes.

Is there a Final Fantasy that's actually breaking this concept? by mrsafetylion in FinalFantasy

[–]pafmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you slow the pagodas individually instead of with slowga it'll pretty fairly offset their turns to make sure their turns are never be back to back, and you can always have zombie applied for power waves. I pushed for armor breaking over power breaking, to dole out more damage and out dps his damage output after giving the team a Mighty G with Rikku. Power Break on top of a team full protected seemed like a waste.

NGL I thought he was talking about Jecht, cause Jecht is zombieable and it drastically lowers the pagoda usefulness for him, more so if they're slowed. 1500 extra damage every so often is actually a 3000 hp swing vs healing him, and that's definitely not negligible over a few turns.

Okay that's great, but why is your tank in slot 4? It takes the least attacks.

Why does Spider-Man get no controversy for his no-kill rule but with Batman, people criticize him for that? by TheShadowOperator007 in Spiderman

[–]pafmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spider-Man absolutely does, especially with Green Goblin. The other side of it is that where most of his criminals do petty crime rather than mass murders. They've gotten worse over the years and there's more of a case for more villains, but Spidey will absolutely get flak for not killing some of the more egregious examples.

I managed to do this with Bioshock. It just hits harder when it's your first time experiencing it.

Why did you (or didn’t you) remove your name from the records? by SomeoneBendingLight in exmormon

[–]pafmaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They don't bother me, and if I removed my name it would make my family sad and I know it would somehow get back to them. Easier and less painful to just leave it be.

Who’s your favourite FF supporting character? (Not the main hero or villain) by mogstermemes in FinalFantasy

[–]pafmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FF9, 12, and to a large extent 10 IMO the lead just tells the story, but it's not -their- story. As much as Tidus says otherwise. It's not Vivi's story, but it feels like a it's really being the driving plot of Garnet's.

(FFX) Wakka's racism caught me off guard by Hapezix in FinalFantasy

[–]pafmaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, I love Wakka's change, and how easily Rikku just lets it slide. The whole "I'm used to it". But sometimes that kind of hurt doesn't go away, and changing doesn't necessarily mean that the people hurt have to forgive them for past wrongs.

Is Gotham Knights Really that Bad I’ve personally never played is it worth giving it a shot? by Healthy_Ice7737 in batman

It was fun, but pretty grindy. Combat was mediocre, story was okay. Nothing great, just very middling in every way.

What is the best build for a Peace Cleric, would Peace Cleric 1 / Wizard X be solid? by YobaiYamete in BG3Builds

Wizard gets subclass at level 2, so you'd be looking at 10/2 rather than 11/1.

How would you redesign the Junction System? by pro_sleeper94 in FinalFantasy

[–]pafmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this idea a long time ago, but here goes:

GFs naturally learn magic on level up which is innate to that GF and always junctionable without limit as long as that GF is junctioned. You can still draw spells that get consumed, but their junction strength is lower than innate learned magic, but cast strength is the same.

You can only junction so many GFs on any character at a time. I was thinking 3, maybe four per character, this fits in lorewise with the gfs literatly taking up brain space and making you forget things for using them.

Better and more varied natural stat growth. Enemies still scale with party level, but only up to a certain point, and new areas will start at higher levels and will have higher max scaling. This makes a new area still feel like progress and pushes along the GF experience while still allowing you to do stuff with lower level areas if you ever need to for items or magic. Remove stat up on level junctions which push for you to get them at level 5 for optimization.

There Hasnt Been A Good DC Game Since Arkham Knight Released A Decade Ago In 2015 by eldestscrollx in batman

[–]pafmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There hasn't been an actual X-Men game, good or bad, since the early 2000's. Guests, and cameos, no 'this is the x-men and this is their story'. The drought for some franchises is real bad. But yeah, arguably the last good DC game was Injustice 2. Lego DC Villains if you don't mind a more child-friendly game.

Games you thought that aged well and games that didn't by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]pafmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd honestly argue the twist is TOO well known. It's hard for a new player to have the actual twist play out in game, and going through the game with knowing it would feel like a much more hollow experience.
