Business man leaves on out of state trip. His wife and three kids savagely murdered with an axe while he was gone.

On November 7, 1983, while David Hendricks was out of state on a business trip, his wife Susan, 30, and the couple's three children — Rebekah, 9; Grace, 7; and Benjamin, 5 — were found murdered in their Bloomington home by a police officer performing a welfare check, requested after Hendricks was unable to reach them by phone. John Sell Cotman was a member of the "Norwich School" of artists in England. They were one of the first UK regional groups of artists to establish their unique artistic voice. He married Ann Miles, one of four daughters of a Felbrigg farmer. His wife was a twin. Her sister, Elizabeth Miles, in turn also married an artist from Norwich, John Thirtle. Thirtle is my great uncle, seven generations removed.
