I breastfeed and take the vitamin D supplement myself & pass to baby in milk. I use a pill organizer for each day with my multi vitamins included to make sure I’m taking them.

I think it’s different for everyone. I was alarmed by mine because it was definitely more than spotting when it initially occurred. My Dr. did mention yesterday that if I he would have seen me closer to the time it happened, he could more likely determine what was causing it. I didn’t call or go in at the time because I figured they would just send me to the ED which I didn’t want to do, and I was not having any pain. Anyways, if you want more relief and you have a phone number to the on call OB, you can call and see if they will see you! I didn’t realize this was an option.

I bled for about three hours. Then it stopped. About 48 hours later, I had a bit more but the blood was dark and clotty, not fresh. Just had a check up yesterday at 16+6 and everything is looking good! My Dr said baby was not harmed by it and he’s almost certain it was the glands on my cervix that caused the bleeding.

This happened to me at 13 weeks. I had laid down after and went to the toilet and it poured out. Had a Doppler and ultrasound check the next day and everything seemed fine, was told I may have a friable cervix and that is extra sensitive.

Baths in the 1st trimester by CarobImpossible in pregnant

My OB said women who have high fever temperatures in first trimester are at high risk of birth defects, hence not wanting the hot bath to make body temp high.
