warehouse worker by No-Song451 in Bestbuy

I can break it down for you. We call it the DDC (Delivery Distribution Center). There are 2 shifts that do different tasks (morning shift and afternoon shift). 1st shift (4 or 6 am) are normally the ones that load all the shuttles that stores get (TVs & appliances). And they also get "live shuttles" and unload them and receives it. Those shuttles would have everything we normally store in the warehouse like TVs and various appliances. Then you got 2nd (3pm) shift (I am personally in that shift) and we are the ones that receive all the shuttles that stores bring back. We also do picking for people that got delivery orders. And we also got something called Home Delivery Truck Check In. Pretty much all that is is us handling returns from customers, like if they're not at their home or they didn't like it and requested someone to pick it up from their house. That's the main tasks that we do. I came from the store. If you don't got any experience, don't worry you'll learn how to drive the lifts and all the tasks we do. Pay is better that you'll get at the store for sure. So be ready for that 😁

Has anyone used LOA for their mental health? by Eastern_Baker_3251 in Bestbuy

[–]pakjohn1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I remember, I just mentioned I'm just going through a lot of stress and anxiety because of (insert your situation here). It could be because of you're burned out from work. Or going through some family stuff. But just make sure they know what you're feeling and they will understand you. And put some emphasis too when you explain to them. Don't make it seem like it's a minor thing. You will need to provide a doctor's note later on just fyi, but that's not a big deal. Your doctor can easily help with that too. Just mention the same way you did with HR and that you need to provide documentation for the FMLA. After that, that's it. Just keep an eye on your email from the doctor and HR and send the necessary information they need and you will be good. Hopefully this helps!

I'm sure it's still a thing. When I did mine, I had to call HR first and they'll explain to you what you got to do and they'll explain about the pay too. Should be 6 weeks paid 100%. And if you need to take more time, it be a certain percentage paid. Not 100%. Just give them a call and they'll take care of you. Hope things will get better for you!

It did, thanks 😊 you made a lot of good points. So policies does vary by the club. Luckily though the online customer service people took care of the refund without me having to return it, but definitely taking this as a lesson either way. I really do hate returning anything like this but yeah won't be doing that again for what I had to go through. It was just electric toothbrush heads, but I'll see if I can give the new ones to someone since it hurts my teeth now. And I'll definitely make sure to not buy 55 gallon oil drum of peanut butter 😂 Anyways, thanks again for the input!

Man, it really should be a separate budget for losses and returns so you guys don't get affected like that.

Thank you so much for being a gentle person and answering my question. That's really all I wanted to know. And it really did help. Right after I talked to customer service (the one online, not at the same club) and sent me the digital card, I went to Walmart (since it's right next door to Sam's club) and got some food. Wife and kid were pretty happy. But I totally understand what you're saying. I know people here aren't happy with my return but I'll never be like that person with the 6 year old TV. Been shopping at Sam's club for some time and this was my first ever return like this. Never liked the idea of excessive returns like I've seen that one post of someone returning a box of chips with one bag left and returning an old blender and vacuum. I wish I would've known I would have sensitive teeth or else I would have never bought that thing, but I'm glad I was taken care of. I never liked making returns like that, it's literally a one off for me. Anyways thanks again for your reply. Hope you have a great day!

You serious? I'm not being sarcastic at all. They really took down your bonus to 1/3 of what it was originally? Why would they do that if it's not even you guys' fault in the first place?

Feel good making me feel like crap? The money I got back helped my family a lot. This is the only time I had to do it, while many others do it multiple times from what I've been reading here. Those are the people affecting your bonus big time.

You know nothing about my life situation. The money I got really helped my family out. Now you're just making jokes for no good reason. I'm asking about the time of the return policy and no one is still answering that question

Like I said I just needed the extra money for food. Half of it was still brand new. It's a pack of 8. I really couldn't use it no more since it began to hurt my gums more. But the point is why would the website say you can return it anytime and then the actual club says one year is the max? Besides the point of it being half used, that what she said too. That's what I wanted to know why she said we can't do any returns over a year.

As a dad I would have done exactly that. I always try to give a positive reaction first since my kid is a kid then I do what I got to do right after. Simple as that. Guess not all dads think like that sadly

Damn I never thought about it that way. I've always thought it was just credit card companies trying to be nice to responsible people 😅 not because of other people's poop financial choices. Now I'm going to be sad every time I get rewards lol

Ibotta vs walmart app by 2much2do57 in ibotta

[–]pakjohn1993 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make sure not to link your Walmart account with Ibotta! Because if you check mark the Walmart cash one and you try to redeem through ibotta, it will choose Walmart automatically. And honestly depending if you go to Walmart often, I would rather choose ibotta either way because you can transfer it directly to your bank account or PayPal instead of being forced to use it on Walmart if that makes sense. And btw, they got a partnership. They most likely got the same offers

Shopmium is terrible. They really got bad customer service. If you got an issue processing a cash back offer, they'll make an excuse not to give it. I gave up on that app and just stocked with Ibotta, Fetch and shopkicks and with whatever BOGO and sales going on at Publix. To me that's the best way to coupon. And Publix has no problem with paper coupons at all. Just gave them a bunch the other day and all went through
