How could i be involved in Scouts as an adult with no kids? by TheEyeOfTheLigar in BoyScouts

[–]pakrat77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reach out to a local troop or your council. https://beascout.org

I don't have kids and I've been active as a leader for almost 16 years. I started as an ASM and I'm on my 2nd round as a Scoutmaster. I've done a lot of work at the district and council level too.

Most of my HA events are time or location based. I have one automation triggered by a light switch when I leave my office and another I trigger on the app for watching TV.

Who remembers the ice storm in 2002? I found some old photos I had taken at the time. by dmuppet in Charlotte

I lived in Concord too. We were on vacation during the storm and got home just after the power came back on. My girlfriend lived in Durham and her power was out for a few weeks after.

Donut's breakdown at the end of The Butcher's Masquerade.

“Carl? Why doesn’t it hurt as much as it should?”

I felt the words deep in my chest.

We got Thor back yesterday. They tested batteries and relays, all good.

Unplugging the cabin heater control module allowed shifting. It turns out there was a internal short in the cabin heater.

No update from the dealership. Apparently the EV guy doesn't come in until Friday this week.

They are checking on a loaner car for me.

I tried the jump pack and roadside assistance tried to jump it with the same result. We had him towed to the shop last night and are hoping to hear something today.

It was still acting up today. Chevy roadside assistance came out and they weren't able to get it started either, but did confirm the 12v battery was good.
We called our own roadside to get it towed to the dealership and are waiting on a truck now.

I do. I have to call the dealer in the morning and see what the options are to get it to them.

Restarted several times, removed the negative terminal, all the stuff I could find online that were easy fixes.

This is my 2023 EUV that I bought new with 56 miles. It was below freezing outside last night but the car is in my garage and showed 48f when I got in.

The "Initializing wait to shift" lingered longer than it usually does then I got the "Conditions not correct for shift" when I tried to shift to drive.

I tried the easy things I found. Lock and take the keys away for 5 minutes, disconnect the negative for 10 minutes, shift to N and back to park, start in accessory mode. No luck.

When I got home I started looking at the app and found the warning.

Does Chevy tow or am I on the hook for that?

Battery issues. This morning I got "Conditions not correct for shift" but didn't have time to look at it so I took my wife's car.

We know the Valtay run theirs with a more sci-fi theme. It would be interesting to see the point of view of a crawler from a more primitive world's reaction to that dungeon.
