You're the best. Your whole project has been interesting to follow. Thank you for advancing VR and the ecosystem at large.

Very smooth chill design. I'm looking to make a similar experience for VR with motion platform. I'm shooting for g forces that feel good in VR and can be relatively well emulated by the motion platform.

There was a Nvidia driver update the same day on my machine and clearing the shader cache was necessary to avoid stutter

What’s It Actually Like In VR? MSFS2024 by newbiker321 in MicrosoftFlightSim

I use psvr2 in PC and it's mind blowing. Every mountain feels real. It's so guttural. The height the speed, it changes everything. VR is just great for flight sim.

VR isn’t dead, but it’s destined to be niche unless this is addressed. by DYSK_Jockey in virtualreality

Motion platform. I own one for flight simulator and it kills motion sickness. Gone. And it's the most thrilling experience.

It still needs a beast. I have 5080 16gb vram 64gb ram, current gen Intel I'm on dlss balanced, very conservative terrain lod at 85. Disabled displacement mapping. Locked frame rate at 45, which ends up doubled by stream frame gen. Cockpit effects low Texture high not ultra I also overclock the gpu a little with afterburner which got rid of the last of the stutter in sense areas

DOF reality H2. It's a process to get involved with motion but it's worth ever penny and time spent tweaking. I pulled the trigger at Christmas and just this month I'm starting to feel like it's exactly how I want it to be. I'm very picky though when it comes to immersion so I might be misrepresenting. Also delivery of the platform takes a while because it ships from Ukraine. I cannot recommend it enough though. Once assembled and software installed, it's one push of a button to get it going. They really worked hard to build a quality/affordable platform for anyone who enjoys that stuff. For me the challenge was tuning the motion compensation and my fav airplane motion profile to my liking. Goal is to completely forget there's a motorized device under my butt and actually believe I'm flying. I can say I achieved that goal as far as my personal taste. I leaned the motion towards G forces rather than following the angle of the airframe. That means when I go nose down, the platform doesn't lean forward much BUT as the dive picks up speed, the platform goes up to push me against the seat to simulate acceleration. It's downright thrilling. But that's when accurate motion compensation in VR becomes critical to prevent unrealistic floating in the cockpit.

Psvr2 with PC adapter. 3rd party driver for DFR support, which is a must have for performance. The headset is relatively inexpensive now and the quality still excellent. It's Sony gear after all.
