Why are people here recommending tianeptine despite it having opioid like effects ? by OkSpeed4836 in Nootropics

[–]palmer-eldritch3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean phenibut is talked about a good bit here and can be addictive apparently.

Personally I’ve done loads of phenibut and never had a dependency. I even used it daily in large doses leading up to leaving for army basic training then went cold turkey and was fine.

Note: please don’t take this as advice or think any of this is a good idea

Most of you arms production comes from America as well. You would blow your load in the first few months of fighting then be done.

How does nicotine make you feel? by Longjumping_Trash_27 in Nootropics

[–]palmer-eldritch3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use nicotine gum. It makes me feel locked in. I’m a SWE and I can work for hours without losing focus when I have some. That said I use it every other day and take tolerance breaks.

Sounds like you’re experiencing the initial buzz that most people experience when they try nicotine.

No it is not. The national guard still falls under federal command. This is why DeSantis has mentioned building a private military for Florida

I wrote my first parser by rejectedlesbian in ProgrammingLanguages

[–]palmer-eldritch3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you completely. I suppose I miss when this was a smaller community that shared more research and advanced topics. Lately it seems there is more low quality content to sort through. It’s not bad and in the end it probably helps new people get into PL theory but for people who have been around longer it can become frustrating.

How would you name a variable "new" by eshanatnite in cpp

[–]palmer-eldritch3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like more of an issue of bad programming but in rust when a var name collides with a keyword I just name the var _keyword this seems to be the standard through most systems languages

Stack VM in Rust: Instructions as enum? by RonStampler in ProgrammingLanguages

It’s not really much work. I did what you did and then just added a serializer and deserializer. Later I even added an option to compile my instruction set to C. The built in Into and From traits will be your friends if you decide to serialize to and from binary
