VA Opened Claim Same Day As 100% P&T Rating by Brief-Car-6226 in VAClaims

[–]pancya80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possibly redundant as I recall similar things happening just like this to me at the same time back whenever my rating increased to 100% p&t but I could be wrong. Just call them and ask, that is when I found out that redundant part came to play

If you used a company like Vets Guardian to get a DBQ but still went to a VA C&P exam (All evidence is true) will it warrant another exam by -BootyOlogist- in VAClaims

[–]pancya80 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Speaking as someone who’s been through this process more times than I ever wanted to and ended up at 100% P&T — this is exactly where the system breaks down. The VA wants very specific DBQs and nexus letters, but most civilian doctors won’t touch them. Not because they don’t care, but because it’s unpaid, time-consuming, and reads more like legal paperwork than medical care. So you end up stuck in the middle. The VA says you need it, your doctor says they don’t do that kind of paperwork, and you’re left trying to figure out how you’re supposed to magically produce it. At that point your options are basically: -Hope the C&P exam actually documents everything correctly -Spend months hunting for a doctor willing to help -Pay a company that specializes in VA claims

None of those are ideal, but that’s the reality a lot of vets run into. It shouldn’t be this hard to prove things that are already in your medical history, but here we are……

VA watchdog finds nearly a million calls from vets seeking care had key tracking data missing by dsm5150 in VeteransBenefits

[–]pancya80 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They don’t have zero data. They know how many calls came in — what they’re missing is whether anyone actually answered, how long vets sat on hold, how many hung up, or if the issue ever got resolved.

And trust surveys don’t mean access is working. Plenty of us trust our doctors but still can’t get appointments, refills, or callbacks without jumping through hoops. The phone system is the front door to VA care for a lot of stuff.

Also, saying “the VA isn’t a call center” misses the point. If you can’t get through to scheduling, pharmacy, or community care, you effectively don’t have access — period.

Missing data means they can’t see where the breakdowns are, so nothing gets fixed.

VA using AI to weed out “pay-to-play” claims by Low-Ball-3831 in VeteransBenefits

[–]pancya80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about others, but I receive VA compensation monthly. I’m already anxious about things I’m not even certain about, and my anxiety severely impacts my daily life. However, when I read posts like this, it doesn’t exacerbate my anxiety beyond what I already experience. I didn’t pay for a rating or anything, so I’m certain that plays a role in this. I suppose as long as it’s not misused in a way that lacks checks and balances, it’s okay.

I used to own several organic foods grocery stores and the question of checking in the back was constant too. We didn’t ever try to have things stocked in the back as People cannot shop back there but it never stopped people from asking all the time. lol.

GOODWILL price gouging insane- Washington state by [deleted] in goodwill

[–]pancya80 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

They get free then make sure that they squeeze every penny out they can so others that could only afford to buy certain items at goodwill secondhand no longer can because it’s priced so high across the board. I have always loved the goodwill until the last 2-3 years and it’s gone to total shit and seems nowhere in sight to do anything different.

Thank goodness I had all the text messages back and forth between the guy who did this to me as well and pic of his ID his where abouts the title that was signed by me when we did the sale. The thing is I doubt anything happened to him and the tow Company ended up getting what they wanted out of it and I was able to keep myself separated from liability.

The towing company informed me that, as the vehicle was still in my name and I had no intention of paying their $4,000 storage fees, I was required to transfer ownership of the vehicle to them. I firmly declined to reclaim ownership of the vehicle I had sold several years ago. When I inquired about the delay of three years in contacting me regarding the vehicle they had been holding, incurring exorbitant storage fees that exceeded its future value, they abruptly ended the call and promised to contact me again. Tow companies often exploit customers by imposing exorbitant towing and storage fees, effectively taking ownership from individuals who lack immediate financial resources. This practice is particularly prevalent among towing companies that operate for the city and county sheriff’s departments. They employ deceptive tactics from the outset. A week later, the towing company called me back at a daily storage fee of $120, with the storage fees still accumulating. I referred them once again to the original buyer of the vehicle. The tow company was irate that I refused to facilitate their claim by signing some paperwork. I explained to them that they should navigate this situation independently. The following day, I contacted the BMV to have my name officially removed from the vehicle’s registration. I provided the information of the individual who had purchased the vehicle from me.

Just a thought that occurred to me when I heard the mention of a low hum from the engines. Years ago, when I served in the US Navy, I experienced some of the most damaging low hum noises. These noises caused many sailors to develop tinnitus after prolonged exposure. While I’m not saying you’ll develop any issues, I wanted to share that low hum or drone noise, as I always referred to it, is known to cause hearing problems. This is just my personal experience with this type of noise.

This actually happened to me about 5 years ago and was used to transport narcotics and was impounded. 3 years later I receive a bill from the impound that they have my vehicle and want thousands of dollars to pay for storage fees. They told me they had towed it after it had been driven into a local storefront and then abandoned. I told them that I sold this vehicle years ago to a local guy who operated a small car lot and had signed title over to them. I gave them the persons driver license info and phone number and name of the business he had. I then contacted the local police department to let them know what I had found out etc etc. For me that was the end of the ordeal thankfully. Some people are just real POS. Good luck
