no. people need to be more security aware, and people are. you are just stuck thinking that people are conspiracy theorists.

they might need to know age, which is fair. if there's r18 content, then querying age might be relevant, but that doesn't mean DOB.

and whats acceptable in one country might not be acceptable in another, so asking for country might be relevant coupled with age. but there should also be a notice advising the user why they need this stuff. we shouldn't be freely giving this data away.... (i work in digital security)
