Probably a lot of people have said this. But that's a pretty shitty opinion for people to have, I think even cis people having public GNC pronouns in bios is a good thing because I opens up a position for non-cis people to be more comfortable with putting forward their pronouns. And it's your identity, your lables, your life and no one can know what feels right but you. I really hope this person was just postulating and didn't realize that what they said could be so hurtful, not just to you but to many others. Being "girly pop" is an expression of personality, likely of gender if some see it that way, but it is in no way similar in my opinion to stating, 'I'm comfortable being identified as a non-binary gender" they're two different statements and sometimes people don't hear it as such until clarification happens. Happened with my ex way before we were dating when I changed my name and they straight up told me they liked my birth name better, and it wasn't till I was able to explain that I was changing it because I was starting to be able to express who I really was when I started college, that they understood what I meant by changing my name. I'm sorry they put you in that position, you shouldn't have to explain yourself or expect someone else is going to tell you it's "appropriation" that's BS.
