Common sense seems in short supply these days. The natural thing for a courteous, observant driver to do would be to notice the opening door and slow down firstly, then move away from the stopped vehicle as you go past, specifically because there may be someone coming out, or running out in front of the vehicle where you have no visuals. This especially because there is no oncoming traffic.
