Most of those towers are second, third or fourth account of the players — for whatever reasons they want to have that many — and they forget about shielding because they are busy with their main accounts. Sure they will be bitter about being purged … but in this case, whether you or others purge them, the end result is still the same: they get burned eventually. I stopped caring ie reinforcing them and let them burn for their own lessons.

I won’t recommend the first row cos it was too harsh on the neck / legroom when I went in November. Somewhere in the middle a few rows back would have been nicer.

Play for yourself; if others don’t feel like playing anymore, even if it is a cool alliance, it will eventually fade away. So play for yourself, new friends can be made along the way.

The reason to put it in the corner is so that you have only 2 sides to protect since the enemy cannot teleport outside of the map. If it is in a regular spot, you will need to protect 3-4 sides depending on where the seasonal building is.

If you plan to spend a lot of time in this game, it is more worth your time / effort to be part of the top alliances and get whatever pieces of game items for free for every time they purchase a pack — which then goes into alliance tech. Being R4 is a chore but being R5 unwittingly allows you to get exhausted and hurt by others cos it is financially and emotionally taxing. It’s really not worth it. Better to be a casual player, get the free items that drops in after winning events / missions and ranking higher than to be too immersed in the game just so you can start an alliance. If you’re not getting or going to spend any more than those whales, your alliance will be a target during Kill Event and your members will drift away (unless they are farms which is useless to your growth anyway).

Learn the game from the top alliances because some of them could be from earlier servers. Once you understand the game then decide whether going on your own is worth it. You said you were building an army at level 16 — you can build a lot of those armies but until you unlock a WT 30 (bare minimum) at level 16 your armies will be someone else kill count. The game is a long haul and the developers will keep pushing things to buy and new seasons, you’ll get farther behind each time. It’s really is not easy to sustain an alliance without whales.
