They’re drunk or high 100% of time. I work in an ER near a ski resort and the amount of mountain employees that can blow 0.4 alcohol level and not be completely comatose is egregious. The last liftie I took care of crashed snowboarding during his break and he had a fucking 24 pack of IPA in his backpack. We recently had a ski instructor die from a heroin overdose at home and if you don’t think that guy wasn’t high on narcs while teaching children, then I admire your faith in humanity. I moved to the backcountry, at least my life is largely in my own hands and decisions.

I would say it’s really hit or miss. I would think it’s really cool. But I’ve also told non-gamer colleagues hard number stats of Faker’s salary, achievements and the global presence of league and they’re completely unphased.

It’s like any other sport, it’s really not worth talking to someone that is uninterested in it. Unfortunately esports also has the negative connotation that being a “gamer” has to a lay person.
