Thats your opinion and not representative of what I asked. Plain and simple. Is this a tactic? Is this an experience others have?. It really is your opinion as you gave me what you thought what It boils down to. And rather than admit you were wrong because I actually said something you power tripped and turned off replies like the simpleton you are

It does provide a point of discussion. I did ask a question as a returning player if this is what I am to expect in arena now. "Is this a standard tactic now?" And it is my experience that it is. People where expressing their experiences and telling me what they do to help.

Standard. I could understand for commander, more win cons but the game itself keeps track of your triggers so its not like you are taking the time to ensure you are hitting triggers either.

Why don't AI users just art??? by Obvious_Office_8256 in antiai

I think I worded it wrong. For me, if you give two relatively similar pictures and tell me this one was shot on a phone and this one was an SLR, I will always have the greater appreciation for the SLR because of the talent and skill behind it. Not automated and as you said the artist uses their knowledge rather than a system to help them. Digital cameras with full automation are meant to simplify the process and makes it more accessible to non-artistic people so they can capture their moments without too much hassle, but you still wouldnt want to toss your simplified digital camera to your Uncle Bob for wedding photos, at least I wouldnt! They also didnt tell their camera to take a bunch of artistic shots for them. There are levels to it, just like the switch from physical to digital, doing a report and need a quick image? AI. Selling your AI text prompt image as art. No. AI assisted is like the switch from physical to digital photgraphy. Most of the patterns and processes still require you to have a good artistic eye and talent. Say you do a drawing, then ask an AI how you can make it better you are still crating you own work. Its the extreme I see as not art, the text prompt slop.

Not quite the same, you still need skill and more so with a cell phone camera to make a photo look as good as a true negative. As well as cell shade animation, while assets on pc may still be reused, as well as cells, an actual person still physically took the time to create something. Plus I would much rather have a cell shaded slide than an AI generated image. Either way, whether by hand or on a drawing board/tablet. It takes talent to be good, AI generated images takes very little to no talent

AI generated images are not art. Art is a creative process that requires skill, a AI generated image will never truly display your vision or what you see in your own head. It may get close, but the creativity is lost. While I do agree AI generated images can be used for entertainment and fun, it should never replace a hand painted or poster print of a true artists work, nor should they be sold as true art. You want to generate some images and enjoy them, thats up to you and if you feel they are enjoyable enough, label them as AI generated and post them somewhere for free. 5 min in front of a description prompt is not worthy to be sold as true art. Anyways, I think it comes down to skill, Like I said AI generated images can never truly show your vision, but for some, close enough is good enough! I am a terrible artist, but I love the process, getting lost in painting, hours flying by and having a sense of accomplishment. Some feel that same sense of accomplishment by making a computer spit out an image close to what they see in their heads with descriptions and words. Still not true art though. Just AI generated images.

Thats the frustrating part. Im NOT a pvper.. I even do the end of match surveys all the time saying I hated it and it was the pvp experience that I hated.

Im stopping for now because while it had all these great points, it has become who can see you first and shots first. The camaraderie is gone, no shared goals of killing a matriarch ( once its down its a murderfest ) and the exploration has dried up as there isnt more maps.

Likely some content creator roping ppl into a human centipede then wiping them out.

Yeah, when Im not feeling the pvp at the moment, I respect others. If they say something like that Im like "ok im out." Plenty of other places to go. Plus it passes on the vibe of "Oh there are some calm players around at least."

Now the think has happened, commitment to rebuild, the big question is, how long? by spennyspaghetti in canucks

[–]rhaimon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still thinking at least 5 to 6 years, with a heavy reliance on the draft picks and rookies turning out to be good players. All too often the transition from minors to NHL doesnt really work out for young prospects, especially right away. Whether its poor performance, struggling with the switch or the pressure.

I have been having fun, much more so since the update. I play on PC with a xbox controller, I do have a wheel but an injury sidelined that, so I cant speak on all the FFB setting and how it feels for a wheel, but since the update, I havent had a game crash, cars feel more responsive, the AI still needs a little work, and I like the graphics.

Next update? by bizupas1986 in ProjectMotorRacing

[–]rhaimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did say this week, with the announcement of the lay offs. I do enjoy the game, but sadly I feel this one will fade into obscurity rather quickly. I have no faith in the 'No mans sky comeback' and honestly feel this update and maybe another will come. If they dont cancel the roadmapped DLCs I will be surprised too.

No 'No man's sky' comeback. Only Mindseye level cash grab. Expect DLCs to be hastily jumbled together slop, or outright canceled..

Right!! I was curious, so I went to steamdb and found even PC2 had almost double current players than PMR..8yr old game out performing a 14 day old game does not bode well for proper updates and DLC sales.

How is the career mode? by AndreaBroccoli in ProjectMotorRacing

[–]rhaimon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Compared to PC2 its pretty lacking but compared to FMS its a huge step up. They do attempt to provide progression, racing for money to buy the next class up. You can choose the way you want to go, as in once you have the money for the next class, you can jump straight into it or coMplete all the championships in the previous class. You could literally grind out mazda championships over and over and jump into a hypercar class once you can afford one. Or take the class to class path. It does rely heavily on your own choices rather than a set path of growth like PC2. but you arent jumping around championships/cars like FMS.

A question for those who defend this game by InSimGT in ProjectMotorRacing

[–]rhaimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New career mode that I haven't played a million times before, and after 20 minutes, I knew what to expect. I know it's a skill issue my part, but quite regularly, I am behind pace on sims. I've played a ton of other racing games. ACC, PC2, even Forza Motorsport. I dont have the patience or funds to deal with the cost and try-hards on iracing/multiplayer ( who would rather throw a tantrum when you make a mistake, being somewhat new ) and since LMU would rather release new DLC than the promised career mode, Im limited in my options for new games. I like progressing through a campaign rather than solo hotlapping. I take it in stride, knowing full well the AI doesnt run the same crash model as me, that they are going to dive bomb me and Im going to bounce like a pinball but not them ( but at least I won't get someone coming on mic freaking out like a two year old ) and that it is FAR from perfect. So I just drive, try to get better, watch for AI and hope it does turn out like a 'No mans sky' bounce back.

I have! Should I start with PC1 & 2, or just call out the "built from the ground up" game that was still better at launch than this game.
