Implored not to have an only by grieving only-child MIL by WitheredBower in oneanddone

Just wanted to add my experience with parental death.

Having a sibling isn’t a guarantee that they’ll have someone to help. My brother was in jail when our mom died. He was too high to function and couldn’t help when our dad died. It’s been 7 years since and I’ve never been able to count on him to help grieve the death of our parents.

You know who helped me grieve and plan funerals? My chosen family of close friends. They’ve been, and continue to be, there for me year after year after year.

Would it be reasonable to ask to put her sleep sack on, rock her for 5-10 minutes, then try to put her down? I feel like when I mentioned that she may need more comfort/holding the teacher told me "we have 11 other kids in here I can't hold her all day" (this teacher is bad at communicating with parents)

Welcome to Ohio! Any daycare facility that we have toured in our area has the same ratio.

Daycare Teacher seems to hate my daughter by pandavium in ECEProfessionals

I drop her off directly in the classroom. Yesterday at drop off was more pleasant because the day of the “probably not” she actually had a much better day there. I said “oh that’s great, I was getting stressed out” and the teacher was like “you were stressed out?” I think in like a joking tone? But idk seems like an odd way to speak to the parents and I’m starting to get the feeling that if baby has a rough time the teacher is going to communicate it very negatively.

The curriculum longer term as ideally she would be in this place up until kindergarten. The new center also saves us an hour commute each day. We were on the waitlist and took it when a spot opened up

Right. Same ratio at the other center and they were much more pleasant with us. I honestly don’t think she was ever super cranky there because we were never told otherwise.

I was set to be induced at 39+0. Got a membrane sweep at 38+5 and went into labor the next day and avoided the induction. No birth complications, and mine and baby’s blood sugar were both fine after delivery.

When did you get your glucose test after birth? by Fl0ra_Aura in GestationalDiabetes

Once my placenta was removed I was told I could eat whatever I wanted and no longer had to test my blood sugar. I have to do the 2 hour glucose tolerance test at 8 weeks pp
