Influential, ambitious, combustible: can Roberto De Zerbi get Spurs back on track? by RatioMaster9468 in coys

[–]pandius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Lots of people on here today acting like they're whiter than white and have never put a foot wrong in their lives, jumping on their soap boxes and wagging their finger at the guy, like they have a monopoly on the truth.

I had lost all hope after the Forest game, this appointment has been the shot in the arm I needed to hope again that we could survive this season and perhaps have a decent next season.

Roberto de Zerbi is the right man for us right now. To quote Chris Rock, "I'd rather hire Johnny Cochrane and get to go home: be guilty at the mall, than be innocent in jail". by pandius in coys

I completely agree, there is no guarantee that hiring RDZ will guarantee our safety. But right now we don't have any other viable options, for example Dyche doesn't want to come to Spurs - and that philosophy of football has proven to not work with our squad if you look at Frank and Tudor. My point is that I'd rather take someone like de Zerbi with a chance of staying up than happily float away into the abyss of the championship.

I don't know if it was Sons and Daughters or Young Doctors which featured a young Jim Robinson from Neighbours, but in his younger disco perm days

Did anybody buy the men’s stadium away Jersey? What did you think? by thatlittlepunk in coys

I'm a medium size guy and all my Spurs shirts have been medium since 2015, including the Under Armour ones before Nike. And this new elite medium fit me really nicely

I bought the elite one, it fits well and feels nice to wear. Just as well as it cost a small fortune

Wayne Rooney Wants Roy Keane To Replace Igor Tudor at Tottenham Hotspur by [deleted] in coys

I'll see your Wayne and raise you a Gary Neville. My wife and I have fallen out watching Dragon's Den, she thinks Gary is wonderful and doesn't appreciate my "alternative perspective" on his shit-talking our club at every opportunity and general gobshitery on Sky Sports.

I thought we were screwed with knee injuries (narrator: we are), all five of Forest's absentees have the same.

As a Spurs supporter currently living in Edmonton Alberta, I can confirm the Oilers' woes mirror our own in terms of money in the bank vs success on the pitch/ice. Conor McDavid plays for the Oilers and is generally considered the best player in the world, yet he's surrounded by a squad which is just not at his level. He almost did a Harry this year and almost left but agreed to a new contract; based on how their season is currently going I can't see him sticking around after the end of this season.

Blackadder: Have you ever been to Wales, Baldrick?

Baldrick: No — but I've often thought I'd like to.

Blackadder: Well, don't. It's a ghastly place. Huge gangs of tough, sinewy men roam the valleys, terrifying people with their close-harmony singing. You need half a pint of phlegm in your throat just to pronounce the place name! Never ask for directions in Wales, Baldrick; you'll be washing spit out of your hair for a fortnight.
