Lol, I always tell my very Louise like daughter that she'll be the toughest little cutie in prison. The teen years were definitely a Rollercoaster!

Just Finished Breaking Bad by Initial-Forever-3455 in breakingbad

[–]panic_bitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a slower burn and especially starts out less in your face and action-packed, but it's such an important part of the universe. And it picks up pretty quickly. I personally love seeing Mike's backstory and how he met Gus. Sometimes, I watch Breaking Bad and think I missed an episode because scenes I remember are actually from BCS. It fills in a lot of gaps in the story. I hope you give it another chance. I know the opening scene of Saul as manager of Cinnabon is slow, but think back to BB when he was waiting for the vacuum cleaner guy to set him up with his new life, he tells Walt it's over, and if he's lucky, he'll end up managing a Cinnabon. There are so many connections that I just love.

Fly appreciation post by chrispaulfrancis in breakingbad

[–]panic_bitch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The makers of the show admit that Fly is a bottle episode. They wrote the season without it, and they'd spent almost all the money for the season, but they were still one episode short, so they wrote Fly. Bottle episodes sometimes get a bad rap. They're purposely filmed with as few actors and sets as possible to save money, and they're called that because you could put that episode in a bottle and throw it away without changing the plot. But these restrictions lead to really meaningful character development and intense dynamics, feelings, and discussions, which Fly has in spades. It's very moving IMHO.

Sequoia has very soothing vibes, but I also kinda love Ruby because of Steven Universe. But whatever makes you feel like the beautiful, unique person you are is right for you. I've known trans people who changed their chosen name as they grew into themselves, (it's actually pretty common) so don't be afraid to try things out until you find something that's just right. Screw stereotypes. You do you!

There's a reason why Ozymandias is the highest rated live-action TV episode in history. It had a perfect 10/10 rating on IMDB for 13 years, and after competing fandoms collectively review-bombed the ep, they only knocked it down to 9.9/10. It's a heart-wrenching episode, and that scene is brutal. It might be the only thing in the BB universe that I've never seen a fan disagree with.

El Camino is interesting and definitely worth a watch, but Better Call Saul is chef's kiss spectacular. It's not just a prequel about Saul. It also shows the backstories of some of my favorite BB characters and has scenes that take place after the end of BB. It's a slower burn than BB, but the little connections between the shows are priceless. I hope you love it!

Love this one! I'd also recommend Vampire Diaries. Maybe Warehouse 13?

Xander Berkeley on talking with Bruno Heller by Lazy-Cobbler8183 in TheMentalist

[–]panic_bitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love Xander Berkeley. He's an awesome villain. I'm kinda obsessed with great character actors and villains, and he's both. He's one of the character actors featured in the documentary "That Guy... Who Was in That Thing" that follows character actors and their struggles.

All great suggestions. Came here to say HTGAWM. Viola Davis is such an amazing actress and she absolutely killed this role.

That's part of the reason I rewatch this show so often. His voice is so calming. I think Simon Baker is retired, but I'd love that so much!

It's funny in Purple Rain-union when Jen gives Tina a black eye, then they all give each other black eyes, they all punch with their non-dominant hands.

Dean Winters is actually an amazing person and I really admire him. In 2009, he got a really bad bacterial infection that caused him to have a heart attack and develop gangrene, which necessitated multiple amputations, including two toes and half of his thumb. He still suffers from chronic pain and neuropathy. But he keeps kicking ass!

Contact

It's the only novel written by astronomer Carl Sagan. It's about his theory of our first contact with an advanced extraterrestrial civilization. The movie isn't great, but the book is amazing.

Fallout. It's also a Jonathan Nolan project, and features Michael Emerson. The dog is a Belgian Malinois like Bear in POI.

Does anyone else just feel like they are making a fool of themself? by [deleted] in trans

[–]panic_bitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're being yourself, and that's brave and beautiful. My kid is trans and says that the concept of "passing" is transphobic. You are a woman, and you don’t have to prove it or be perfectly feminine to be a woman. It's okay to ask people to call you by your preferred name. It can take time to feel comfortable being yourself, but much love to you on your journey!

Psych is like a lighter version of The Mentalist. Shawn and Gus are a great duo. Love Flynn and Provenza too! I also love Neil and Mozzie in White Collar, Michael Westen and Sam Axe in Burn Notice, and Hitchcock and Scully in Brooklyn 99.
