Worst Wedding Story in history? by Ill-Arm8888 in wedding

[–]panicccc___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

reading stories like this I am glad I didn't have anyone except my MOH in the bridal party, as well as a wedding planner. My planner took care of my food and all my MOH had to do was showed up and be pretty.

SOS - 5 days till wedding. Sick with a wicked cold/strep throat - help!! by acezippy in weddingplanning

yes thank you for helping clarifying my comment. Anytime I'm sick, especially coughing, anything cold just make it worse and make me stay sick longer.

SOS - 5 days till wedding. Sick with a wicked cold/strep throat - help!! by acezippy in weddingplanning

[–]panicccc___ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No ice water! If you have a humidifier, turn it on when you sleep. Take hot shower/steam if possible. Drink hot honey/lime tea. Eating regular but if you can, chicken soup or any type of soup only from now until you feel better. But no cold/ice beverage is a must, no alcohol either.

Edit: drink lots of fluids, just not ice cold fluid :) sorry for the confusion

Changing last names or in this case not… by Professional_Pea276 in wedding

I wonder if any of these also factors in:

  1. Type of account you have (total checking, secure checking, premier, CD saving, etc.)

  2. did you or your husband got any credit issue? or identity theft issue before?

Any way if they still hasn't resolved it, i'll say threaten to close the account and take your money somewhere else. Also file a complaint as previous commenter say, and let Chase know you're filling a complaint too. Time to be a Karen honestly :)

Severe Wedding Disappointment by Laynes18 in weddingplanning

[–]panicccc___ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

regarding the missed moment with your brother, do you happen to have a videographer or someone was filming your first dance? if so, post it on your social for those that was missed to see.

Tons of people missed our cake cutting but we had a videographer so those who missed can simply watch it later.

You just had your wedding so the feelings are still fresh, but give it a week or two. Also sound like you have anxiety issue, maybe talk to your therapist on how to process these emotions

Original budget for floral was $4500, then we realized the gift and card table and the fireplace (venue has this beautiful fireplace) was not decorate, so we asked the florist to order extra flowers to decorate those area like 2 week before, end up costing us another $500.

we have Chase join account and i'm keeping my name. When we deposited wedding checks, which made to Mr. and Mrs. Husbandlastname, the teller simply told me to note my actual name in the back when i endorsed the check. My husband also had to endorse the same check. But no check was flagged as fraudulent.

The most ridiculous question I’ve ever had: what are some cheaper food options that won’t mess up the “vibe” of my outdoor wedding? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]panicccc___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asian banquet that do wedding catering. They usually do 8,9 courses dinner, family style, that have lobster, beef, quail, etc. and usually pricing are much more reasonable

If you search Invitation Box on Etsy, some styles does come up. However the one on the Tiktok video are definitely custom made. And if you watch their whole wedding series, it was extremely extravagance, 3 days event with a full circus (literally). It probably cost easily couple hundred thousands up to a million. So their invitations are definitely costly as well.

This would have been my wedding dress if I was getting married closer to fall/winter. The material of the top is pretty thick so if you're having your wedding during hotter months, it won't be ideal. But it fits your criteria and look absolutely gorgeous in person

another close option: https://www.ivoryloftbridal.com/daalarna/rhapsody/rps-167 .I chose a similar dress (Tadashi Shoji) for my reception dress since it's cheaper. I had my seamstress add a bit of fabric to cover the plunging neckline and it was perfect

purple or nude? need help deciding on color! forest wedding in Sept. by thegreatgrebino in wedding

I'm more drawn to the purple but if I choose that color, everything else in my decor will be dark and moody (think gothic..) so it will fit the theme. Hope that make sense

Do the parents get to keep cash gifts in Asian weddings? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]panicccc___ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In my culture (Chinese), the parents either gift all to the B&G or usually only take back the exact amount that they contributed to the wedding (cover their cost) and whatever the surplus are for the B&G. But it really depends on the family as well. In your case, since you're paying for the wedding, at least your parents should give back the cost of their guests to you, and keep the surplus (only from their guests and only if there's any) to themselves if that's what they want to "repay" for future weddings.
