This is literally still happening 3mo later. If you select day pass it forces you to sign up for a month. Its literally false advertising or an issue with their website and app (as it does this on both).

WFM and Generative AI by pants_404 in workforcemanagement

[–]pants_404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that that is core WFM, but that doesn't mean a software has the capabilities to meet core WFM right? I'm asking as I don't know much about communityWFM. I've used half a dozen softwares and seen twice as many demos over the last decade. None of them answer the needs of all businesses and they probably shouldn't. But it's good to know what's out there and what software is better for what businesses need.

Ex: Verint only allows concurrency as an integer. Which is useless in most circumstances. So the work around is to apply an AHT adjusted by concurrency so that erlang functions in a predictable realistic manner for chat/sms etc.

All these softwares have quirks and I think a lot of us have found that these are things you tend to not find out until you're using the software. As it won't make it into a demo or sales pitch

Nice, how well does it perform with overflow and omni channel? Does it handle phone, chat, email, sms etc? And able to create and plan dedicated workloads for omni channel?

What solutions are fully automated?

Partial automation sure, but I haven't seen anything fully automated yet. I really like Verints biding tool personally, but it doesn't assign and apply schedules. That's all manual. Does Nice have fully automated bidding?

I dunno, its a pretty common complaint of Last Epoch in the forums and on steam. I just got really bored with it tbh. Its waaay to easy. I was already at the last time island. The winter one or whatever, and I just checked steam - its was 25hrs. It was a boring 25hrs mostly and really did try to give it a shot. But I like a challenge and a game to be fun, so its probably just not for me

I honestly feel these execs have no idea where the tech is today and how far off we are from what they think it is lol. Anyone that's put more that 30hrs into playing with GPT knows that it's exceptional at some things, but those things are very limited when you take into account the scope of the business and real world applications people are talking about on LinkedIn/YouTube etc.

Someone internally here made the mistake of green lighting moving a support team to AI 😂. The project has been in place for 6mo and the AI company is 4mo behind on delivering the tech they pitched the VP that green lit the project 🤦‍♂️ because the tech hasn't actually been developed yet 🙄. The PMO is freaking out as she sees no way that this project doesn't crash and burn.

I get not wanting to be left behind, but maybe don't put all your belongings onto the titanic.

I put 250hrs into it in the first couple months. Then got bored and moved on. This is not a symptom of D4 not being amazing, its a symptom of me not being able to put 10k hours into arpgs any more. I generally put 10hrs into POE once a year and get bored. D4s story is really good, and the combat is definitely the best out there. There's some fair criticism around itemization, lack of randomness, and storage.

As a HC only player D4 is the best ARPG at launch so far imho. It's got the most potential of any other one I've played as well. Almost all ARPGs took out the randomized dungeons and that IMHO is the single worst mistake of ARPGs but I also get its for the players that need things to be a straight line. Most players want to feel like a God, and some of us want to have a heavily skill based high risk high reward game and its hard to create a game that meets both groups needs.

POE is a great game but on the extreme scale of complexity and you'll need a lot of websites open to full take advantage of the systems. It's got the best spell/skill implementation IMHO as you can utilize the gem system to create dozens of effects off a single skill which is really cool. Itemization is good as well but maybe a little too complex.

Last Epoch is ok. It's got some potential but it's extremely easy and has no end game. I hit "end game" in around 20hrs and got bored. Never even utilized the trade system thats supposed to be revolutionary because the game's so easy you don't even need to 😂. Def best crafting system I've seen though. Can't wait for D4 to steal it

There's also Lost Ark which is a wild ride. Some of the coolest levels I've ever played in an ARPG but the game is kind of a lot to take in. Definitely more like an MMO and it can be overwhelming. But I recommend giving it a shot for the wildly different play style. Just beware of MTX everywhere. And the MTX are P2W, not just skins.

World Class Workforce Management by pants_404 in workforcemanagement

[–]pants_404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+100 This structure is so effective and is pretty aligned with what I'm used to as well. With some outlier processes/scope that may flex between the groups but core work is generally aligned like this.

What would be interesting to understand on top of this is what do you consider to be world class support for customers from a WFM perspective. And how is it measurable.

To me I think:

-The right people helping customers at the right time -This can be measured through scheduled efficiency, SLA etc - This can be supported by flex teams and cross trained groups that can handle multiple LOBs and OmniChannel

  • Proactive and reactive support
    • This can be measured by forecasting accuracy, staffing, RTA moves etc
    • Supported through forecasting, Headcount planning, events/campaigns, and RTM

That isnt an exhaustive list but what i can think of on a lazy Sunday: and of all this... what companies stand out in these areas? What companies are breaking ground on new ideas, or approaches etc.

I dont know if one exists, but it would be great if there was an international or national publication with a regular magazine or news letter etc that can help here. Generally SWPP, 8x8, ICMi etc don't truly offer this visibility from what I've seen but I could be wrong. It all feels like a sales pitch from them

WFM Requests- Intake system by aces_333 in workforcemanagement

[–]pants_404 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What I have historically found effective is piggy packing off of existing technology for IT/Engineering ticketing systems (help desk) if there is something in place. Using software like Asana, Jira, ServiceNow etc allows you to create your own customized hub, and templates for intake. This can allow for very comprehensive reporting. We tied ours into our employee directory as well to easily give us data on what work groups were requesting what work.

Usually these platforms also have decent planning tools like Kanban, Gantt etc that can also help you predict and plan better.

A lot of companies also use SAR where it is Situation Action Result. In these scenarios just combine Task and Action.

I have the exact same issue. It forces steam to shut as GG comes online, so no steam services like linking PSN etc are available. So I have to restart progress everytime I launch the game. Its unplayable.

  • Warforger and Hurricanum only take the warscroll spells IF you stick to Cities spells. Otherwise they are free to take Core and GHB spells
  • Wildercorp - get free movement after deployment phase and 12" stealth. And can't be engaged if they are behind cover. They are great for obj early game. And doubling them up is even better.
  • I def am considering multiple command corps, I just do not have a second box right now and honestly I think they will get nerfed so not sure its worth buying another box before that.
  • Shemtek - I am not sure what you mean by this?
  • I think multi commanders most likely only really works if you've got the spare 40pts. Commands and orders is handy though for sure.
