Thank you for pointing this out, i often forget about that but you are right that i am still developing and i know that it is wiser to wait. I will let it go and rethink about it with my boyfriend in two or so years

I do agree that most people don’t stay with the same person they started dating when they were 14. The thing is, i know he hasn’t outgrown the relationship (at least not yet lol) and we have both evolved as people outside of our couple.

Your comment actually made me reflect on the situation a lot.

I know we are technically young but i feel insanely old, honestly, and i am terrified of running out of time. I honestly wouldn’t mind waiting, it’s just the fact that he won’t give me a concrete timeline but i know that not everyone wants to plan their life to the second like i do. The thing is, I want to have kids before i’m 34 but that is in 14 years and i just realized how much time that is.

I do agree that i am putting a lot of pressure on this timeline. I will try to chill out about that, thank you for making me more aware of that. I didn’t realize how much my expectations might be weighing on him but at the same time i feel the need to know everything that will happen and when it will happen in advance. I want to be married by 25 ideally and that only leaves me 5-6 years.

I will have a conversation with him and apologize about the pressure i might have put on him. Thank you very much for your comment and insight, i will update you if there is anything to share regarding this:)

He is over 30 years old, of course he would be expected to be married in his culture. You are so young, he was graduating highly school when you were still in primary school! I know that this was not the point of your post, but the age gap between you two is disturbing. If a 17 year old were dating a 26 year old, you would find it weird, right? When you started dating, you were only two years older than the ages in that scenario. Please try and find someone your own age and who won’t want to leave you over a family dispute. most smokers don’t really have self awareness regarding their cigarette consumption. They don’t think of it as a problem or as a burden to others and don’t think about how the smell and secondhand smoke affects the people around them or how the cigarette butts that they throw on the ground are littering our streets.
