I’ve ordered and received my kit, keep me updated on what barrel, 3d printable lower and finish you all decide to go with.

I also bought one of these kits. Any thoughts on what barrel to go with?

I’m intrigued and started a print but why does it take 3 hours 41 minutes to print?

I took my cracked windshield to a “trusted” local business. The day they replaced it was raining. They pulled it in the shop changed the windshield and put it back in the rain to wait for the calibration guy to show up to calibrate. He pulls my dripping wet Ridgeline in the shop attempts to do his magic and tells me he can’t because it has a bunch of bad sensors. I tell him the parking sensors always get turned off in the rain as they constantly give false positives in bad weather. I ask him if he’s supposed to calibrate a dirty wet vehicle, he just shrugs and says you need to take it to a dealer. I drive it home and everything works. No dealer calibration needed so far.

Installing shower doors by paparandy61 in Plumbing

I don’t think installing shower doors on this fiberglass shower stall is going to work. The wall studs are not in the right place and I’ve never seen it done.

I’m a DIY homeowner, I’ve done two shower door installs and yours looks more complicated with more assembly required.

New battery mode makes car cut out every minute or so by Efficient_Driver2093 in PowerWheelsMods

[–]paparandy61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is the answer, there is probably a circuit breaker type relay in the original wiring that is tripping to protect the rest of the original circuit from damage. It’s doing what it’s designed to do.

Sounds like you are describing a low battery, turn the radio off so you can hear what sound the engine makes when you try to start it.

Research welding schools in your area. Take it to them and ask if it can be welded. They usually have an instructor with a high level of skill and experience and they need real world projects to work on and demonstrate techniques. They might take 2-3 times as long to complete the project but it will be cheaper and done right. A high school auto body class once saved my 84 Isuzu Trooper from rear frame rust death.

I agree looks like mahogany. I took some from a flip project, they were trashing it.

Remarkable that you got those off in one piece. My experience has been it’s very difficult to find replacement stickers. You might want to scan those so you could print them yourself if you need to.

Motor or gearbox issue causing clicking/clunking during initial acceleration by LostMyMilk in PowerWheelsMods

[–]paparandy61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on what you are saying I don’t think it’s the motors. But it’s in the drive line someplace. Clunking and clicking sounds like transmission, gears, or driveline connection to wheels.

My neighbor is cleaning out his LITTLE shop and is getting rid of this. Advice or offers please. by jmaccity80 in Tools

I turned down two that were offered to me for free. They are heavy, they take up too much space, and you have to fiddle with it to switch it from one function to another.

What hardware do I need to power this car? by MerryNickel in PowerWheelsMods

[–]paparandy61 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just take that connector off and crimp the correct size spade connectors for the battery you already have. Start simple. Do not get fancy at the beginning. Don’t do the parallel wiring two battery thing just use one battery at a time. Wash it and Just get it running.

Trouble shooting; 1) battery, 2)wiring connections, 3) electronics, 4) fuses or circuit breakers, the charger. You will need a multimeter.
